ICC Lady Cougars are National Champions again!

Late Saturday night, the Lady Cougars of Illinois Central College played Kirkwood Community College for the NJCAA Division II Championship.

ICC won another National Chmpionship with a surprisingly easy 71-54 victory. ICC never trailed in the game, and lead 48-22 at half, and had a 64-30 lead at one point in the second half. Kirkwood put on a furious late charge to close the final margin to 17 points, but the game was never really close.

Hey that's great......add in IVC for 2nd place class A........Peoria Richwoods for 2nd place class AA and the Bradley Braves making it to the Sweet 16! Is Peoria basketball heaven or what?

dont forget! ivc scholastic bowl took second place in state this weekend too.
