The 2018-19 pre-season teams and polls will be announced on October 18."
Each team was to bring two players and Muller left Yarbrough home
Ironically, one ISU fan tweeted back to the ISU Reporter- "Replying to @Pg_Benson
You do not want to upset @DanMuller by doing your job as a reporter, Jim."
Bradley has DLO and Darrell Brown along with Brian Wardle
The WBB have coach Adrea Gorski plus Shaunsere Kent & Gabi Haack
a statement per Benson..
... "Muller said Yarbrough availability for Tuesday first practice "TBD" or to be determined."
In other words he really isn't suspended after all - and he might be ready for practice next week
every other MVC beat writer has been tweeting all day with pictures, reports, interviews, etc...except nothing from anyone on Bradley... did we even have a beat guy there?
More news from Media Day
--- from UNI -Tywhon Pickfordhas a serious foot injury that will keep him out up to 6 weeks, he could return about the time games begin
---from SIU - "SIU mbb coach Barry Hinson said today F Thik Bol (@ThikB) has been cleared to practice fully but may be limited all season bc of his knee. He expects Bol to still play 15-20 mpg and be Thik Bol but “may never be healthy this season."
"Saluki coach Barry Hinson is leaning toward trying to redshirt all four of his freshmen this year."
They actually have five freshmen - their four scholarship freshmen are Sekou Dembele, Darius Beane, Sam Shafer, and Amadou Fall but they also have walk-on guard David Swedura on the roster. Also "SIU is holding one (scholarship) for Jimmy Beane, ..who did not academically qualify for a scholarship. Beane is enrolled at SIU this semester and hopes to qualify after paying his own way."
we're still a couple weeks from seeing the MVC Preseason Poll and Preseason All Conference teams...
but one of the MVC writers has released his ballot
Evansville's Pat Hickey humbly has his poll this way with his own Aces in 10th:
1- Loyola
2- SIU
3- ISU
4- Bradley
5- Indiana State
6- UNI
7- Valparaiso
8- Missouri State
9- Drake
10- Evansville
He only has one ISU guy on 1st Team (Fayne) and has SIU's Armon Fletcher as Player of the Year (gotta wonder if the negative press surrounding Yarbrough has hurt him already)
