Basketball Announces Preseason Events Schedule
Fans will have three opportunities to see the Bradley basketball teams before the 2018-19 season
with a trio of preseason events announced on Tuesday.
The Braves are set to host the Bradley Basketball Spaghetti Supper presented by Avanti's on
Thursday, Oct. 4, the Red-White Scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 13 and an open practice for
season-ticket holders on Thursday, Oct. 25.
Spaghetti Supper Presented by Avanti's
Doors for the Spaghetti Supper open at 5:30 p.m. before dinner is served at 6 p.m. The Voice of
the Braves, Dave Snell, will lead a short program at 7 p.m. featuring fourth-year men's basketball
head coach Brian Wardle, third-year women's basketball head coach Andrea Gorski and both the
men's and women's basketball teams.
Tickets, which include a spaghetti dinner from Avanti's, chicken and all beverages, are $18 for
adults, $15 for Braves Club members and $8 for youth (4-14). Children three and under are free.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office, via phone
(309) 677-2625 or by e-mail at BradleyTicketOffice@bradley.edu. There will also
be a limited number of tickets available at the door at ITOO Hall on Oct. 4 for $20.
Red-White Scrimmage
The annual Red-White Scrimmage then follows on Oct. 13 with both the men's and women's team
featured in the event. Admission to the event at Renaissance Coliseum is free for fans to attend
and begins at 2 p.m.
Men's Basketball Season-Ticket Holder Open Practice
A special season-ticket holder event for the Bradley men's basketball program then completes the
three preseason events on Oct. 25 at Renaissance Coliseum. The exclusive event for BU season-
ticket holders begins at 5:30 p.m. with an open practice. During the practice, Coach Wardle will
be mic'd up so fans in attendance can hear his interaction and instruction with the team.
A meet-and-greet with players and coaches will follow the hour-long practice as well as a Q-and-A
with Coach Wardle. Complimentary soft drinks and snacks will also be available during the event
on the concourse area in Renaissance Coliseum.
The event is open to all season ticket holders. Fans interested in attending should RSVP by
Monday, Oct. 22 by contacting the Bradley Ticket Office via email at
BradleyTicketOffice@bradley.edu or via phone at (309) 677-2625. The number of
guests attending the event cannot exceed the number of season tickets for each individual
account.
The Bradley men's basketball finished the 2017-18 season with a 20-13 record. One of just four
schools in the country to improve by at least five wins in each of the last two years, the Braves
earned a top-five seed for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and advanced to the league
semifinals for the first time since 2010. The women's program has also increased its win total in
three-straight seasons for the first time in school history, capped by a 13-win campaign last
season.

(I hope someone from BU reads this)
each time Bradley produces a release like this, they send an e mail to all ticketholders and anyone else who is in their email database...
However, many systems have protocols for corralling or quarantining those mass emails and storing them in a "Spam File"...and it is doubtful that most people will even see the email after that.
I know my system grabs every single one of the Bradley emails and unless I check and retrieve it from the spam file, I would never see it.
Lots of other mass emails do get thru so I don't kow what the criteria are that causes the Bradley emails to get spam-filed but I wonder if the people at BU know that a significant number of people are not getting these email announcements.
perhaps that is why wizard was asking the question that prompted this thread...
