It showed that the suspension was a total sham and meant nothing.
Muller has been criticized by many people, including some ISU fans for for his lax discipline and not taking the repeated lawbreaking seriously and putting more emphasis on improving his team's chances of winning.
Yarbrough still has serious charges pending and is still out of jail on bond. Plus, he has had numerous other previous serious run-ins with the law in his time at ISU.

But today, Jon Rothstein, CBS sportswriter, tweeted this-

Illinois State forward Milik Yarbrough participated in team practice yesterday, per Dan Muller. Status for competition moving forward is still TBD.

So Dan now wants us to believe that all of a sudden he is a serious disciplinarian and might still come down hard on Yarbrough at some future point. LOL.
Get back to me if or when that ever happens.
I also question why the administration hasn't gotten involved, and taken the decision out of his hands.

In the Vidette article on this subject - there's this comment...
"ISU had to deal with a lot of adversity last year with different injuries to Phil Fayne,
Keyshawn Evans, Taylor Bruninga, Elijah Clarance and others at different times.

The adversity may have helped the Redbirds increase their team chemistry and togetherness..."

but I thought all the talk last year was quite the opposite - that team chemistry was being torn apart....and the guys being looked at for team leadership were not doing it....
even to the point of their stars & starters getting benched or having playing time severely cut.

Beware, this is an ISU thread -

today they held their media day
their beat guy seems to say the big topic of talk was Milik Yarbrough
"Big thing learned from @Redbird_MBB Media Day: Milik Yarbrough won't be wearing a headband this season. Why? "This (season) is strictly business. This isn't playaround. It's strictly business."

so...it wasn't business last year? Last year it was just Milik's "playaround" (? misspell of playground?)

          WAND reporter says
"Versatile wing Milik Yarbrough ....Is practicing but Muller says ISU is “waiting on more information to make final decision.”

Areas of improvement include length around rim. Not a ton of depth there. But significant potential."

We are grateful for all the members and numerous visitors who frequent our board. Traffic is breaking records, and since the minimal advertising presence is dependent on page-views and clicks, it is generating all-time record high ad revenues. That is why in nearly 14 years we have been here as the only dedicated fan message board for Bradley basketball and the longest continuously surviving fan message board in the MVC, we have never charged a subscription fee for our insider info, nor ever asked for donations or support.
All you have to do is put up with tornado's (and my) rants sometimes.
Thanks to everyone! (including those who insist they never come here!)

Muller explains in the Pantagraph that by depth, he means he finally has enough players to go 5 on 5 in practice and won't have to use the managers this season....but he's using 5 guys who are not going to be eligible this year.
But he does admit everyone needs to stay healthy because that depth doesn't translate to the court.

I think this is one of the best fan message boards in the country. I would put this board up there with some of the other top message boards

                        t...ISU Suspends....

t....While I don't always agree with you I do agree most of the time on most of your posts. Your views and comments as well as your knowledge of college basketball is teriffic and I always look forward to reading your posts which are accurate and very well thought out.
Please do not be discouraged by the very few hardheads who are critical of your posts . Keep up the great work on behalf of Bradley. Also, I always look forward to seeing you and talking at BU events. You are one of the reasons this is a great message board.

Thanks bradleyfan124 and wizard! And to others who have messaged me privately.
I will add that the Bradley coaches love this site! I hear from them frequently how impressed they are with how many people visit and participate here, the great content, and how supportive and positive the fans are. As most know, fan message boards can become cesspools of discontent characterized by nasty, vulgar attacks on teams, coaches, players, and other posters.

We are thankful that the people who are now here are the real fans who are positive, polite, and supportive!

I've said it before. It is a privilege to participate in Bradleyfans.com. It is great to be able to read and respond to the posts of those who know so much about Bradley basketball and other Bradley sports along with NCAA ball. I don't think I could ever be negative or impolite with such a privilege.
