  • Getting closer- 30 days until the official start of basketball for Bradley

The first day of practice marks the official beginning of the college basketball season. Bradley's first day of practice is Wednesday, September 27, which is 30 days away.

It is also a little over 9 weeks until Bradley's exhibition game on Nov. 1, and about 10 weeks until the first regular season game on Nov. 7.

due to a couple youth soccer things - I see Coach Wardle from time to time & he is really upbeat about what this team brings to the court!
He is the perfect mix of tough, disciplined and hard working - but also enthusiastic and really cares about his players.
I can see why some players might be intimidated and leave - but every player who stays and plays for Coach Wardle gets better and is grateful for the chance to have played for him.
Remember - THREE of his players from Green Bay who were lightly recruited were coached up to NBA talent levels - and several others came close....and I believe that will happen here as time progresses.
In fact, in his five years at Green Bay, it appears that at least a dozen of his players went on to pro careers at a high level!!
A dozen - how many did we get out of the four years that Geno was at Bradley (if you eliminate the Jim Les recruited guys)? Answer - maybe just one if you stretch the definition of higher levels of pro down to the Bulgarian or Swedish leagues.

They used to wish they could be as good as Bradley. On a side note, I remember seeing Gonzaga play Caterpillar in the Fieldhouse.

It's going to be an exciting fall. Anticipation for Bradley Basketball! Add to that an exciting season for the Chicago Bears and playoffs for the Cubs. Nice to be a sports fan right now!!

I agree Tornado about the prospect of some of our current players after their stint at BU.

I think Darryl Brown will get some looks by NBA scouts.
I'm excited about our Bigs this season - really hope that Koch-Barr gained some mental toughness over the summer...think that's what was lacking with him.
