Bradley's other scheduled game this weekend was a Sunday, 4 PM match at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. However, that match has been cancelled due to the expected severe weather conditions that will still exist due to Hurricane Florence.

Had alot of hope for these guys early on. Doesn't look like right now they are getting it done. Hopefully they will improve as the season progresses and hit their stride around tourny time.Comment

Bradley scores a goal in overtime (100th minute) for a 1-0 win over Drake for their first MVC win.
Bradley is now 7-4-3 overall, and 1-4-0 in MVC play.
Their next game is a non-conference match Tuesday at Oakland University of the Horizon League.Comment

Why are Jim DeRose teams almost always so offensively challenged? He seems to teach a system of playing "not to lose" rather playing to win. Is it a function of not being able to recruit quality offensive players, and of a coach who gets the most out of minimal talent? Or is it the case of a coach with an antiquated and boring offensive scheme being unable to recruit quality scorers?
He consistently has decent teams so I don't doubt his coaching ability. this season is an enigma - they really looked good early on then stalled out once the MVC play began...
but as long as the NCAA qualifier is the one who wins the tourney, then there's still hope.
Currently Bradley is tied with three other teams (Valpo, Drake & Evansville) who all have 1 MVC win - and only one game to play (vs. Evansville)
so we need to pick up a win and move up in the standings!
This year the MVC Soccer Tourney is over in Evansville November 7-11
