Just a note on Armon's twin brother Amir, who is playing football at NIU

The NIU Huskies held their intrasquad scrimmage...
Amir is a freshman wide receiver with a few other players and even redshirt wide receivers ahead of him in expected playing time, but....Amir made his presence known right off the bat!

"The offense and defense scrimmaged for five series with each starting at the 25-yard line.

Freshman quarterback Jiya Wright and the offense took the first two series –
with touchdowns from Wright to tight end Mike DeHaan and to Amir Brummett.."

Coach Rod Carey said: "That was good to have the young guys go and see the whole team get fired up about it. That was a fun ending to practice. There was a lot of good energy to start practice, too, a lot of good workman effort there. I like where we're at, now
..."I think this team is focused on what they want."

Leading returning WR Spencer Tears is suspended the first two games for violation of team rules. Might see Brummett tomorrow vs. Iowa on BTN or next week vs. Utah on ESPN News.

3rd quarter and NIU is trailing only by 3 -
3-0 at Iowa!!

I guess I was a jinx - Iowa just scored quickly and now it's 24-0 in the 4th..
but that probably increases the chance Amir could log a few plays...
