  • The way too early pre-season hype train

I would love to see what everyone is the most excited about for this upcoming season. Where are we going to finish in the Valley? How will our overall record look?

I'm extremely excited for this upcoming year and the pieces we added to our squad for this season. As expectations raise, I feel like the team will rise to the occasion and provide some great fan experiences.

I wanna see how Boya changes the game, even if it's just on the defensive end. He was a shot blocking machine at prep school. We haven't had an eraser down low to block or alter shots with regularity since POB.

I'm expecting us to finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th, behind Loyola and alongside ISU and SIU. With the schedule so far, I could see 25 wins, but we'd be in danger of getting left out due to strength of schedule. The league will have to have a good noncon to put us in the mix for at large.

My guess is safely 4th or 5th. I just don't see Bradley having the offense to compete with Loyola, SIU, and ISUr. Hoping I'm wrong because a 4 team race would be great. For some reason I think that ISUb and Valpo may surprise some people this year, but have similar concerns of them as I do with Bradley...where are the points going to come from.
Cheering with pep and vim for the white and purple!

I think anywhere less than top 4 would be disappointing. Honestly, I could see us winning the Valley if one or two of the newcomers can make an immediate impact, however I'm thinking 3rd is a good realistic goal. The Valley is pretty much a 4 team race, with the 4 Illinois Schools clearly being at the top, and I'd hope we don't finish at the bottom of that group. Though, I could see a team like UNI and maybe Valpo or Mo State sneaking into the top 4. Regardless of if we win the league or not, I think we have as good a chance of anybody of winning down in St. Louis next year.

I don't see us doing anything less than competing for the championship. I think we will be able to handle Loyola ok but it is Illinois State that I think will give us the toughest competition

All I know is it is good to be in the title talk mix again!

What excites me most? The depth of our roster. Hopefully competition for playing time will raise everyone's level rather than cause frustration and dissension.

And as others have said, the potential impact of Boya. Is he -- or will he eventually become -- a game-changer? I can't wait to find out. (Loyola's Krutwig worries me....)

I??™m most excited for The return of Pitt. I think we have the best starting back court in the MVC. DBJ and AP.

Obviously LU has earned the right to be called the team to beat. I do think we finish top 3 and NIT at worst. Anything less would be a push or step back.
