If we get Henry to sign, this will be a real testimony to the ability of the current staff to recruit. Being able to identify and sign players who are ???under the radar??? and not being recruited heavily, but are very good ball players is the secret to mid-majors being successful. I am very hopeful and look forward to the start of the 2018-19 season.

we still have four open scholarships between now & fall 2019...but one may yet get used this fall...
I would love to land a couple of the Indiana Elite 2019 AAU team & then later - a couple (Mabor Majak) from the 2020 squad

Ok. This reinforces that we have not signed Jashon yet. I do totally agree that we have Coaches doing the right thing, always. We are lucky to have them.

As posted in another thread- Ja'Shon Henry just committed!
The Bradley men's basketball program rounded out its 2018 recruiting class with the addition of Ja'Shon Henry (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan), announced on Saturday.

              NICE CLASS!

A great recruiting class and a great job by our coaches! It took a little time but obviously the coaches found some players with very good talent that were under the radar. In retrospect, perhaps some of us including this poster, need to be a little more patient and have faith in our coaching staff. In any event, it should be a fun year.

It is hard sometimes to be patient when you want The Braves to return to competitiveness. I for one looked at this board several times a day during NLI signing periods looking for news. I was worried, if we would have a full compliment of the kind of players we need and want.

I've said before that I feel that Coach Wardle pushes his target level up every year. Winning makes Bradley a more desirable destination. We are no longer gonna be taken for granted by anyone in the MVC. We have a really good shot at post season play this year and the upper echelon of the MVC looks attainable. The higher the target we have the harder it is to find the right student athletes to be interested in Bradley. When we win consistently and are in the post season tournaments, it will be easier for the kids to decide on Bradley's rich tradition of winning in one of the top 10 conferences in the country!

I've always been behind Coach Wardle. We are lucky to have him and his assistant coaches. He has brought us back and that is not an easy task. It took me a while to realize just how far we had fallen. Feels great to have had all of that reversed and the end is not in sight!

Coach Wardle, & assistants Coaches Adams, Foster, Bargen - are getting it done...
Not an overnight fix that could collapse like happened to Chris Lowery at SIU & Tim Jankovich at ISU (when his year-4 win total plummeted to 12-19) but building with a culture & a legacy of doing it right, keeping the players out of trouble, doing great in the classroom & finishing string like Donte to become admirable leaders in the community that we can be proud of.
