  • Kyle Korver

Former Creighton star and two time MVP Player of the Year (2002 & 2003) has played 15 seasons in the NBA and is still playing a valuable role for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals. He is averaging 10.7 ppg in the Cavs 15 playoff games so far, and shooting 46.4% from three. He has lead the NBA four times in 3-point percentage. He has shot 43.1% for his NBA career, which ranks 6th all-time in the history of the NBA & ABA.

Bradley fans might recall that Kyle Korver had 3 younger brothers who also played college basketball- Klayton (played at Drake) , Kaleb (played at Creighton), and Kirk (played at UMKC).

But a sad story that some may have already seen- youngest brother Kirk Korver, age 27, became ill a couple months ago, and died from multiple system failure.
Despite the sudden loss of his youngest brother, Cavs guard Kyle Korver has managed to play his best.

the Korver??™s are a great family and Kirk??™s passing was tragic. It??™s been fun watching an MVC grad have such a great NBA career. One of my favorite memories is of Kyle??™s mom. Kaleb was playing for Creighton when I was at BU I believe. Mrs Korver always sat behind their bench which was adjacent to the BU student section. We had a great time joking with her and she seemed to as well.

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.
