thru 2022-23 - that's 3 extra years and likely a little boost in salary - altho no official report of that

Peoria, Ill. – The Bradley Basketball "Movement" will continue for at least five more years.  Bradley University has extended the contract of men's basketball coach Brian Wardle through the end of the 2022-2023 season, according to an announcement by Bradley Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Chris Reynolds.

    Great News

I am happy to hear Coach Wardle got an extension. We are headed in the right direction with the right kind of Coach.

BTW - Coach Wardle's salary is thought to be in the $500K range...

according to publicly available tax documents, he was paid $465K back in FY2015 -

For comparison - especially on how wasteful the former admins were - Geno Ford got $733K in FY2014 (Glasser got $753K, Cross $262K)

I agree with pfcmsh, I think this is great news. I think it is well deserved. He started with only a few leftover players and has gotten us started on the way back from the depths of the MVC in only a couple years. Yeah, we are not yet where we want to be, but you can tell we are getting there and the fans are getting excited again for the first time in a long time. This is all because of Coach Wardle and Dr. Reynolds.

I hope Coach Wardle is here for a long time....
I would love to see how his girls (4th grade & 7th grade) do in soccer when they get to high school - they are both extremely talented for their age groups..
They're also pretty good at basketball

Coach's 4th grade daughter's soccer team finished undefeated in league play and tournament play - with no opponent all season even coming within 6 goals of them....and outscoring their opponents over the course of the season 69-2 (and league rules require taking players off the field when scores get lopsided so they played most of the season while playing down 1 or 2 players)
and they are champions of the PPSA Soccer Tournament!
Congrats...unfortunately Coach was not there to see his girl's great performance - he's got a tough job and works nites & out of town

as most know- this upcoming year is Year-5 for Brian Wardle at Bradley....
this would have been the final year on his original contract deal....but recent published reports point out that in 2018 he was, indeed, rewarded
with a very nice salary "adjustment" and 3 more years added on to the deal - thru 2023

But, after last season's tremendous success I suspect there may have even been more added - but just not made public...
