Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose are current members of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. They were judges in the Slam Dunk contest along with another Timberwolves player and Chicago area kid, Robert Covington, who attended Proviso West HS. The 4th judge was current Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook.

MVC loses to Southland to drop to 0-2 and will not advance
They still have one more game today at 9:30am against OVC

pretty disappointing showing by the MVC team of Fayne, Fletcher, Dixon, McGlynn

they went 0-3 and weren't really very competitive in any of the outings..

Missouri State star? I don't even recall him being good.
                What was his ppg avg?

Dixon's been one of their better players - not a superstar but pretty consistent since his freshman year...
He has scored 1,246 career points - roughly what Jeremy Crouch and Dyricus Simms-Edwards did for Bradley...
...and good enough to rank him 15th all time on their career list.
This year he averaged 13.1 ppg - close to what our best scorer averaged.... but he scored 17 against us in St. Louis

Last year when we went to Missouri State, he killed us and went for 24 pts - http://www.mvc.org/mbb/stats/2017-18/msu-30.htm
