The toughest place seems to be Australia (where teams are 8-8 so far)

and the easiest places are Canada (except for Carleton & Concordia) and especially the Bahamas where DI teams are 20-0 so far

Duke (3-0 in Canada) & UNC (2-0 in the Bahamas) whalloped all their weak opponents by huge lopsided scores

    • Here's something I don't quite understand...

-over a decade ago NCAA banned Division I teams from playing against organized professional teams and club teams in their exhibitions.
Prior to that we used to see Marathon Oil, Nike Elite and other preseason opponents - LINK.

-but teams can still go overseas and play basically the same club teams plus top professional opponents.

-in fact, in the most noticable example, St. Mary's went to Australia and played SEVEN games against the top pro teams there - the teams that won or were at the top of their pro league - teams with ex-NBA-ers who are still making $1 million+

-in fact, by the time St. Mary's gets back here then plays their other two preseason exhibitions - they will be playing their 10th competitive game of the 2018-19 basketball season at the same time that many other schools are playing only their first or second!!

I am surprised more teams don't take advantage of this...
..as you can see, only about 40 of the 352 DI teams did take advantage and most of those played only 2 or 3 games - many against such low-level opponents that scores were so lopsided, and some teams won by 70 & 80 points even using mostly their deep subs & walk-ons !

-I hope Bradley keeps doing this - every four years, as allowed by NCAA - but schedule as many (4 or 5) tough opponents as possible in order to get a real head start.

Meanwhile, Michigan (with head coach John Beilein staying home) beat a top pro team in Valencia Spain
and Fordham (with assistant Jaden Uken) got clobbered by the Czech National Team.

      • only three teams are left playing summer exhibition games, Michigan, Providence & Drexel with DI teams holding a record of 101-29 so far against summer exhibition opponents...

teams went 22-0 in the Bahamas -- obviously the easiest place to play...with Australia being apparently the toughest place
but only 17-12 in Canada with Duke avoiding all the solid Canadian teams -
Canadian teams: Carleton went 5-0 with all lopsided wins against decent DI teams and Concordia went 2-1
US DI teams went 10-2 in Costa Rica, 1-2 in Cuba, 9-8 in Australia (with 2 games still to be played) and 42-5 so far in Europe (3 games left to play)

        • Michigan loses to Serbian team Mega Bemax in Spain

Providence beats a 3rd tier (Serie B) team Luiss Roma in Italy

Michigan & Drexel each have one game remaining and that will end all the summer tours as schools are getting back in session for fall...

btw- the team Michigan lost to 81-73, is the same team that traveled to the Bahamas and got clobbered 100-64 by Kentucky

          • As Drexel gets clobbered by 25 against the Sydney Kings in Australia (with Sydney's starting five sitting out)...
It was an impressive first game for Brian Bowen who was at the center of the FBI probe into paying for recruits...
Teams have all wrapped up their foreign exhibitions...seems like there were a lot more losses this year..

                wow. better bring it.
I didn’t like the slogan bc it seemed a bit pretentious and could be embarrassing if we flopped... but we did “arrive” after all. Thrilled to be wrong!
