Loyola Marymount beats Dandenong in Australia 91-80
former Bradley recruit James Batemon with 31 points

            St. Mary's 86 - Illawara 77

btw- a summary of the difference in International Rules for basketball
            - four quarters of 10 minutes each instead of two halves
            - 24 second shot clock
            - 3-pt line is about 1.5 feet further
            - an NBA-size lane that is wider than NCAA & a larger restricted arc under the hoop (they don't use the trapezoid-shaped lane any more)
            - 8 seconds for a backcourt violation
            - once the ball has contacted the rim or backboard, it is in play and can be swatted off the rim without goaltending
            - every foul after the 4th in each quarter is a 2-shot foul, there is no 1-and-1
            - they use a different ball but it is nearly indistiguishable from the NCAA ball

and Carleton crushes yet another opponent by a huge margin (they beat UMES 98-55)
they are clearly the champions of this whole summer tour thing
they have beaten everyone who ventures to their gym - interesting that Duke is in Canada playing a bunch of patsies and didn't schedule Carleton!

Duke beat Ryerson in Canada but the talk was all about Zion Williamson dominating (29 pts, 13 reb)

Maybe Duke was like 99% of basketball fans who never heard of Carleton before. Find it hard to knock Duke’s scheduling. They have had great success no matter who they play. BU fires their successful coaches.

Link to a video of highlights of the Bradley tour of England and Amsterdam. Note again the new Bradley slogan for 2018-19- "The Arrival"-

                      • That was a cool video. The kids must have enjoyed it and it had to help bonding making for a better team. Great idea to do a bike tour. Helps to keep them in shape.

                        • almost everyone would agree that even when you get old & look back - some of the greatest memories of experiences you have are when you took trips & vacations with people who matter....

                            • I don't get it... why doesn't UNC just scrimmage the girls team or, a bunch of patsies from down at the "Y"?

instead they go to Bahamas and play some ridiculously bad, obscure bunch of stiffs and win 130-45!
I can't believe they think this will help them in the ACC. They made 56 field goals compared to "Starsports'" 16...with almost all their shots being layups! They led by almost 40 in the 1st half and by 70 before the 3rd qtr was over!

                              • Michigan has arrived in Spain on their exhibition tour, and will play 3 games...
but head coach John Beilein stayed behind as he has just undergone double coronary artery bypass surgery.
Michigan's John Beilein had successful, scheduled heart surgery on Monday. He hopes to be back at full strength by the start of fall practice.
