.. They have won FOUR STRAIGHT titles in the Patriot League.
It will be interesting to see how they play against the same team Bradley faces....
Bucknell ended up beating Amsterdam 94-58 but they started off slow...
Bucknell trailed after 1 quarter 20-14, then they rallied a bit and led at half 37-31.
They likely benefited from Select having to play Bradley last night, as the Amsterdam squad, who only dressed 8 players, looks like they ran out of gas...
Select got outscored 57-27 in the 2nd half...
Bucknell went to the FT line a ridiculous 43 times (they were 26-43, 60.4%)
    Select hit only 28.8% & 27 turnovers...

Ohio State just beat the Madrid Generals 93-61 with Kaleb Wesson scoring 20 pts

we have friends who just returned from Cuba and said it is not hard at all to get internet access in Cuba, but there are very few FREE wi-fi spots -
        - it is not terribly expensive...kind of like what you do on a cruise ship - you just pay by a prepaid card. (cost is about $1.50 per hour).

UTRGV going to Costa Rica - they have two MVC transfers on their roster..- https://goutrgv.com/news/2018/8/3/me...osta-rica.aspx
        Does UTRGV have a name?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

confusing, I know, since they change names every now & then..

UTRGV is University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley
which used to be Texas-Brownsville and University of Texas-Pan American - they merged in December 2012 and thus Texas-Pan American, which was a DI school, became UTRGV
located just outside of Brownsville TX

Kentucky should clobber their opponents - but remember what happened last time?
They went to the Bahamas in 2014, spent almost $800,000 on the trip, stayed in luxury hotels, and even put up Calipari in a $1,500 a night suite.
They also had one dinner they paid $29,000 for with an open bar - where, of course, the LEGAL DRINKING AGE IS 18, so of course all the players could legally guzzle!!
Interestingly, Kentucky - with 6 future NBA'ers plus 3 more G-Leaguers, ended up losing their final exhibition game on that trip!

All four of their games this year will be televised on their SEC Television Network.
PLUS, Kentucky will pay the referees’ traveling and lodging expenses, plus meals on the trip. Plus, UK paid the three-man crew a per-game fee, just like they did the last time.

St. Mary's is currently in Australia & New Zealand for a 12-day tour and they will play SEVEN games!
Their first game was Monday, and St. Mary's beat the Mainland Eagles 95-66.
They just finished game-2 and St. Mary's beat the Mainland Eagles again 88-61.

They have five games, including one against Callum Barker's old team, the Hobart Chargers.
The second day of the foreign tour down under for the Saint Mary's College men's basketball team included their first game of the 12-day trip.

SIU drops to 1-2 in Cuba as they lose game 3 79-78
Fletcher (16 pts) and Pippen (11 pts) led SIU
..the Cubans shot just 3-20 from the arc but outrebounded SIU 40-24 on the way to putting up a 52 point 2nd half.
The stories all make a big deal out of the fact that a couple of the Cuban players have played professionally.
Oh- really? Almost every single player on the opponents we faced in Europe not only HAVE played professionally but still are at the top levels of pro play over there.
Same with all the opponents other teams are facing in Australia, Europe, Central America & elsewhere. That is NOT a very valid excuse, especially when the guy they are touting as a Cuban Pro player is playing with an obscure team in Cuba against unknown competition.

Radford won their first two games -
                            Radford 68, Royals IV 46
                            Radford 81, Croonen Lommel 68

                            Cincy 79 - McGill 53 (in Canada) - Cincinnati finishes 2-1

Maryland beats Pisa 88-64 to go 2-0 in Italy

                            In Bahamas:
                            Notre Dame 119 - IBA Elite 61

Kentucky has asked for a rule change to two halves instead of the typical international rule of 4 quarters
..the Bahamas team has two of their top players out...

                                score from Australia
Melbourne United 81 - St. Mary's 80 in front of a huge crowd
A loss like this is probably far more valuable than a blowout win against a hapless opponent
Melbourne United are the reigning NBL Champions (NBL is the top pro league in Australia with players like Andrew Bogut, Andrew Ogilvy & Jerome Randle)

St. Mary's recruits this area a ton - they currently have SEVEN players who come from Australia or New Zealand
Many of these St. Mary's players' lifelong dream is to play professionally in Australia and now they get to play against pros in Australia

SIU also got to play three very competitive games that went right down to the wire....
The final score or the W-or-L don't matter as much as the chance to actually play a real tough, tight game against guys who want to beat you...

One of your games was this way, too, while the other one in Amsterdam was a bit more of a mismatch but still afforded time for everyone to play.

                                Three games this afternoon
Final- Radford 93 - Limburg 71 - this is their final game in Belgium
Final- Ohio State 68 - Catalan All-Stars 66 in their final game in Spain
Final- Oklahoma State 61 - Netherlands B Team 49 - low scoring considering the 24 sec shot clock & faster play, lots of missed shots

and a few more tonight in Canada, Bahamas, Costa Rica-
Ole Miss vs. Ottawa Streamed **Ole Miss wins 85-74!
EKU vs. San Ramon at 8:30pm in Costa Rica
South Dakota State 76- McGill 69 in Canada
Alabama State beat Starsports in Bahamas 97-88
Notre Dame 111 - NPBA All Stars 34
Kentucky 91 - SAN LORENZO DE ALMAGROSAN 68
