Well, that may be technically true, but it is not the first time the NFL Champions and the NCAA Champions were from the same city.
The 1963 NFL Champions were the Chicago Bears (before there was such a thing as the "Super Bowl"), and the NCAA Champions that same year were the Loyola Ramblers, from Chicago.
