One time Loyola starter Tyson Smith left the team at the end of 2016-17 and became the team's Graduate Assistant due to recurring knee problems that prevented him from playing.
but now he's recovered enough tat he's looking to play one more season - but apparently not at Loyola, so maybe they don't have a scholarship for him...

6'3" sophomore guard Carlos Johnson is leaving University of Washington and transferring.
He was recruited by Brian Wardle, and was offered a Bradley scholarship back in May, 2015, just after Wardle was named head coach at Bradley
Old Bradley thread-
He played a lot as a freshman and even started a few games and averaged 5.9 ppg & 3.0 rpg. But it appears he might have been recruited over by new head coach Mike Hopkins. As a result, he only played in 17 games this season as a sophomore and averaged 3.8ppg & 1.4 rpg.
Ftr, I don't see Bradley being interested, as their needs are different at this time.

Former Evansville Aces guard Jaiveon Eaves, who was at John A. Logan juco - has verbaled to Murray State...
..there had been some remote hope by Aces fans that he might be lured back by the opportunity for a ton of playing time..

They have found a rising juco sophomore that is a qualifier so he can transfer from State Fair Community College to Drake and be eligible right away..
Colton Kolowski, a 6-5 guard, will have 3 years of eligibility
Kolowski was originally from Yorkville HS where he played his first two years of high school ball then he transferred to Joliet (IL) Catholic for his junior & senior seasons.
He also but spent a year of postgrad at Moravian Prep (North Carolina) before playing last year at State Fair CC (Sedalia, MO).
At State Fair CC He only played 8 games due to a little issue early in the season ** but in 8 games he averaged 7.3 ppg & 2.3 rpg -SFCC went 1-7 in those 8 games...

San Jose State transfer Jaycee Hillsman tells me he will visit Illinois State this weekend-
Hillsman is a 6'6" 235 pound guard/forward who is originally from Champaign, Illinois. He just finished his junior year, and is not reported to be a grad-transfer. So he would have to sit out a year, and have only 1 year of eligibility in 2019-20.
Stats at San Jose State

The two biggest names transferring out of the MVC have settled...
Evansville's Ryan Taylor lands at Northwestern
Missouri State's Reggie Scurry lands at Middle Tennessee
..still a lot of MVC kids who have not fond a place yet, including Evansville's Dru Smith, ISU's Daouda N'Diaye and Bradley's two guys.
also Wisconsin's Andy Van Vliet lands at William & Mary

more likely he didn't think he was getting the playing time, the shooting & scoring opportunity and the press coverage that he thought he deserved -
maybe he saw how great Charles Matthews did leaving Kentucky under the same circumstances then going to the Final Four as a key piece at Michigan...

He was originally a heralded recruit from Springfield Lanphier HS. He originally committed to Tennessee. A few months later, he decommitted and then committed to Xavier. He spent 2 seasons at Xavier, never played much and he contributed very little there. He transferred to Vanderbilt, and played this last season there, but he again saw only a deep reserve role.
