Northwestern reserve Isiah Brown - an extremely prolific 3-STAR scorer in high school - is leaving & transferring
-
I know, just hopeful - he will get a lot of offers from high majors but I hope he knows that he might still be a backup option like Marcus Arnold or Jon Ekey were
this guy is a former ISU recruit will they pursue?

I once saw Larry Austin Jr. score 39 points in a high school game. I thought at the time he was ???can??™t miss??? as a future college player. Too bad it never worked out for him.

He's a Gary, Indiana kid. Seems more likely he'll favor a major school closer to home.

I would love to have him explore Bradley as an option - I know it would be a very long shot-

anyone remember this...
Larry Austin,Jr. visited Bradley way before he dropped Bradley from his list and chose Tennessee...
but that visit was heralded as a momentous occasion...a true groundbreaking event - for Geno to have such a high rated recruit visit Bradley
Of interest - they said the same about Peyton Allen, and in the end both chose elsewhere, then transferred multiple times then really never had any impact at all.

One time Bradley recruit (under Geno Ford) Larry Austin, Jr. is now a redshirt junior at Vanderbilt. He is leaving and looking to transfer as a grad transfer. He will have 1 season left and he is eligible immediately.
He was originally a heralded recruit from Springfield Lanphier HS. He originally committed to Tennessee. A few months later, he decommitted and then committed to Xavier. He spent 2 seasons at Xavier, never played much and he contributed very little there. He transferred to Vanderbilt, and played this last season there, but he again saw only a deep reserve role.

UIC takes a huge hit
..arguably their best player (& former Bradley recruit) Dikembe Dixon (14.2 ppg/3.5 rpg) is leaving school & hiring an agent..
he is not projected to get picked in the NBA draft altho it would seem logical he will probably attend some workouts - but his plan may just be go overseas and start earning a living..
They play in the CIT in about 2 hours, Dixson has already declared he will not play any more with UIC.
He is only a redshirt sophomore and has two years of college eligibility left - and to make this announcement and leave NOW while his team is still playing suggests he may have another reason such as academic ineligiblity?
