Again, as in every case in the past, it is obvious our sources are very good. We posted here ten days ago that Bradley would be playing in "a warm-weather early-season tournament", and many of the members here knew about it even earlier via Private Messages that I have sent out.

Bradley to participate in 2018 Cancun Challenge-

Note that among the many other stories we broke, we also had the story about Bradley playing in a summer tour a month and a half before it was announced by anyone else!-

It is not a tournament, and there isn't any website that has information. In fact, Bradley has not yet confirmed or made any official announcement about this tour. They will travel to London and Amsterdam and play a couple games against club teams from those cities that are still being arranged. We'll post more information as soon as it becomes available.

Here are links to the Cancun Challenge tournament that includes Bradley, November 20 & 21-

Jon Rothstein tweeted this earlier this afternoon:
Bradley is the fourth team in the 2018 Cancun Challenge along with Penn State, SMU, and Wright State, per a source. Matchups are still TBD.

You need to read the tweets in reply to Rothstein's. Some aren't too respectful of Bradley. In order to read them, for those who aren't "Twitter savvy," click on the link above. Then, when the tweet opens, click on the tweet's text and you will see a number of replies below it.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

Elon, Jacksonville State, North Florida & Western Carolina are reported to be the other four lower teams in the Cancun Challenge.
Thus we will get two of them as home opponents....

None had a particularly great RPI last year, but Jacksonville State was 135
Elon 209, Western Carolina 218, North Florida 222 but it all depends on who they return - and reportedly JSU returns four of their top 6 guys - all upperclassmen.

doesn't really affect us but UC-Davis plays at USC
Trojans open the basketball season Nov. 6 against Robert Morris and have a touch matchup vs. potential preseason Top 10 Nevada on Dec. 1 at the Galen Center.

the guy who covers NIU is the guy who used to write for ISU's Vidette...
and he talks about NIU's scheduling...

he quotes NIU's coach Mark Montgomery as saying how hard it is to schedule non-conference opponents - even mentions he reached out unsuccessfully to BRADLEY

Montgomery seems to be griping a little that he can't get anyone to play him

..but seriously - he was RPI 236 last year, the worst team in the entire Mid-American Conference and he wonders why he can't get a power-5 team to come play him in DeKalb? Is he joking?

one of Loyola's premier opponents for this season, Nevada...is acting more like a power-conference school & snubbing their contracted opponents...
They just decided to pay the buyout fee instead of playing at Rhode Island and risk a loss

I'd be all for scheduling more in state teams if they weren't almost all dogs. NIU basketball has been a hot mess for 20+ years and Dr. Reynolds is right not to schedule them-- it's bad enough we're facing Chicago St and EIU already. MM should have been fired already but the NIU AD doesn't have the money to buy him out. The football team replaced a home game with a million dollar+ buy game at Florida State because they were in a budget crunch.

As a Valley member, Bradley plays the best teams in the state already with the exception of NW and UI, and I'm sure Dr. Reynolds has tried there (especially since he came from NW).

                          -2 NCAA Title Games

Could it be that Illinois and Northwestern are afraid to play Bradley now?

I don't know if there's been much to be afraid of lately in Peoria but it'd be nice if NW and UI would've played ISU the last few years, Loyola this year, SIU when they were really good etc. Would be great for the state for the good programs to play each other more but of course they have their own interests to look out for. We did beat the Illini in Vegas in 2010 and the sky didn't fall (at least on their end).

Should a coach with seven years under his belt, one winning season in those seven, and a student of Tom Izzo have the worst RPI in his conference? Granted, Monty is an improvement over the Patton train wreck but everything is relative. He brings in talented players but, for some reason, there's a disconnect between his coaching and his players executing on the court. Wardle has made more progress at BU in half the time.
