Loyola deserved this win, and they deserve the auto-bid to the NCAA.

    Final score-
    Loyola 65 Illinois State 49
Box score for the Loyola Chicago Ramblers vs. Illinois State Redbirds NCAAM game from March 4, 2018 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

      LOL---

      CBS announcer..
"Loyola hasn't been to the NCAA Tournament since 1985
..(to Porter Moser) ..Coach, a lot of your players probably weren't even born the last time Loyola made it to the NCAA.."

Yes, my opinion is that Loyola deserved the tourney crown and NCAA bid. Been since 1985 for them. They played as a team. 5 losses and a win against #5 Florida says a lot. I think Bradley was the 2nd best team in the tournament. Soon....

The middle 14 minutes saw Loyola outscore ISU by 15. The Ramblers just took it to ISU and there was nothing the Redbirds could do about it. ISU did miss some point blank shots but the outcome really wasn't in doubt. Loyola is a joy to watch as they can play any style, whether it's a grind it out game or up and down the court. They will give any team that they are matched up with a problem. ISU have some talented players but they just don't seem to play together very well. Lots of one on one and when it works it a beautiful thing to watch but when it doesn't it's butt ugly, kind of like today.

sometimes Phil Fayne is unstoppable down low - but seems when that happens, ISU starts jacking up 3's in the first 5 seconds of each possession...
Hein, Tinsley, Williams all shoot around 30% from 3-pt, while Fayne leads the entire Valley in FG% against conference opponents (65.2%) so why not get him the ball?
N'Diaye also has been shooting around 60% since January but took only one shot...

And yet we will have a top 5 seed, at worst, in the tourney....sucks to be us......

All of the Valley just wishes they were in our shoes.

But hey, good job with the improvement this year. Maybe someday you can have the season Loyola did and MAYBE get a 11 or 12 seed.....

congrats on a good season but tough loss to Cincy...
..it may yet sukk to be you if the NCAA finally realizes you have been paying players...time has a way of evening things out...
...and btw- Bradley HAS WON four National Tournaments (back when they meant something and there weren't 100 teams playing NCAA/NIT)
..and Bradley has played in the Championship Game twice - how many times has Wichita done those things?

                    Damnit! You got me .

Seriously though. I do hope you guys keep your rise. Would rather see you guys fighting for titles than the redturds, UNI or anyone else really.

With the history you guys have you deserve to be there again. Good luck going into next year.

Oh and WSU hasn't paid any players. Until it is proven otherwise. $2000 from an agent to Fred during the last couple months of his senior year hardly condemns WSU.

But we will see. Truth will come out for EVERYONE. What happens, happens.

                          Here's your research..

"Wichita State vacates 69 baseball victories, 2013 NCAA appearance"

the player in question who may have received payment was on your 2013 final Four team

                          Per the YahooSports report
Fred VanVleet "received more than $1,000 from an agent during his senior year at Wichita State.
The report also says VanVleet's stepfather received $2,000 from the agency while VanVleet was at WSU."

                            Lol baseball....lmao

Anyway. He reportedly got $1000 and $2000 for his dad from an AGENT NOT ASSOCIATED WITH WSU IN ANY WAY. Beginning in January of his SENIOR year.

Therefore at MOST they would take away January, Feb, March of his SENIOR year.

Would not touch FINAL FOUR WHEN HE WAS A FRESHMAN.

And again. They have yet to implicate WSU in any wrong doing.

Like I said we will see. But I am NOT worried

If I was WSU fan, I honestly wouldn't be worried at all either. Not because of my program's innocence, but because the corrupt governing body won't bring any meaningful pain onto a corrupt member from a major market.

When lo-and-behold some things are uncovered about the only two programs that somehow shot to dominance in our league and graduated up... there appears to a layman to be a correlation between cheating and winning.

Again, I wouldn't be worried at all either. But it would bother me because I want my program to do things right.
                                Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.
