I am always on such a high after we win 1st game of MVC tourney...wanted this one more than past years since we beat the Jays after a huge 2nd half, sparked by that emphatic putback slam by Chris Roberts.

No matter the outcome tomorrow, Braves basketball is baaaack!
A very successful season as we strive to contend for league titles in years to come!

In year 3 of a rebuilding job you should start seeing progress being made after a few years of laying down the foundation. And a berth in the semis is right where we should be. Are we ready to take it to the next step? It??™s nice to be relevant again at Arch Madness. We??™ve beaten each team in the semis so getting to the big dance is a possibility. And at least the state of Illinois is guaranteed to have a team there. So why not us!

Guys, we showed today that we have the preparation, players, coaching, fans and team to go toe-to-toe with the best in our league under the bright lights. 3-4 years ago when we started our recovery, it seemed like a far away dream. I??™m not satisfied with the outcome, but very encouraged with our trajectory. Wow!
Great season in the process of this improvement project. I like our chances again next year.

The result wasn??™t what we wanted today but guys, let??™s take a step back and think about what we accomplished this season. I couldn??™t be more proud of the way we fought today. There were so many times we could have folded and packed it in for the year but EVERYONE stepped up. We were within a possession of play Sunday. We won 20 games and advanced to semi final Saturday just 2 seasons after we won 5 games. Think about that. This program took a huge step forward this year. I expect us to be contending for a championship next year. I trust that Brian Wardle and his staff will do what they need to do to make that happen. Keep your chins up fellas because BU basketball is back! And in great hands!

Just couldn??™t get over that hump. ☹️ Feel bad for all the guys, especially Donte. Proud of how they fought back from a double digit deficit to give themselves a chance to win. This team has a toughness about it that they can keep building on as we keep getting better recruits. Not sure if we??™ll be playing any post season games, I hope so, but if we do it??™ll be fun to watch. Hopefully we??™ll improve by 5 games next season. If we do, date I say, that their could be some dancing in our future? Why not us!

I find it interesting that Coach Wardle did not rule out a post season tournament in the post game interview. Maybe we will get to see Donte play in a Bradley uniform a couple more times.
