First the issues with players storming out at halftime, the head coach Jimmy Collins, now this.

Here's the line I really find incredible:

You're kidding...if a coach asks a player about his grades, thata's grounds for harassment?

The assistant has also coached at SIU, as well as Loyola, Ball State, WSU, and Nebraska.
But the final line in the Trib article is irresponsible, and is nothing more than unsubstantiated claims that never went to trial.

That and he allegedly put his han on the player's left breast! More than a little sickening if I do say so myself!

Which is too bad considering the team has done very well in Jimmy's absence, including a win over a nationally ranked team. As always though, we'll wait until all the evidence is looked over before I assign guilt to anyone.

Its a definite crime if a man had done this to a woman so why would it not be a crime for a man to do this to another man?

Sexual harrassment cases have become ridiculous in this country. People don't know when to take a joke and when they have ben harrassed. With that said, if the incident occured, then Mitchem was completely wrong. It would be one thing if the players were horsing around in the locker room, but for a coach to engage in such behavior is unprofessional, jokingly or not. It is expected that college men are going to be immature, but we are talking about a grown man here, employed by the University. He should be held to higher standards.

I am not so sure I agree.
Of course the issue of consent matters, but
if a coach pats a player on the butt is it a crime?
If the coach examines an injury on the kid's chest, is it a crime?
If it is just juvenile play between boys, or whatever.

Millions of people have had other men put their hands on parts of their body and have just handled it themselves.
What's with everyone being such a pussy-whip and running to a lawyer to cry "rape".

I'll tell you what the issue is...it's money.
Lawyers have turned everything from a pat on the butt to a spilled hot cup of coffee into big paydays, and the rest of the wimps in society fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

In the end, I think it all depends on he says, she says...and nobody ever really knows, do they?
