Here are the 17th games for all MVC teams with their current seeds if the season ended today:

    Wednesday 2/21-
#7 Evansville at #8 Indiana State
#5 Bradley at #6 Missouri State
#3 Drake at #4 Illinois State
#1 Loyola at #2 Southern Illinois

This round should go a long way toward determining where everyone finishes.

        Significant Icing

Does anyone know how the Braves travel to Springfield? The forecast looks icy along the I44 corridor Wednesday night into Thursday morning from Springfield to St. Louis.

I had to do a double take - 20 pts! So that means we can do 19 worse than that encounter and still win. I don't know what magic the PCC holds, but Coach W needs to bottle it and bring it with him to Springfield on Wednesday.

Bradley has not been very successful playing at Missouri State in recent years.
Below are the results for the last 10 years.
The last time Bradley won there was January 3, 2009 (in bold)
(results are from the Bradley record book page 95)-
            02-06-08 Carver Arena W 83-71
            01-03-09 at JQH Arena W 63-57
            02-17-09 Carver Arena W 71-60
            01-09-10 at JQH Arena L 69-88
            01-16-10 Carver Arena W 74-56
            01-16-11 Carver Arena L 67-78
            02-09-11 at JQH Arena L 69-77
            01-21-12 Carver Arena L 48-51
            02-12-12 at JQH Arena L 53-64
            01-19-13 Carver Arena W 69-66
            03-01-13 at JQH Arena L 54-62
            01-08-14 Carver Arena L 65-68
            02-01-14 at JQH Arena L 61-74
            01-24-15 Carver Arena W 61-59
            02-25-15 at JQH - 3ot L 77-80
            01-16-16 Carver Arena L 42-61
            02-02-16 at JQH Arena L 71-77
            1-21-17 at JQH Arena L 62-76
            2-22-17 Carver Arena W 77-68
            1-23-18 Carver Arena W 72-52

Bradley actually has a 2 game winning streak against Missouri State (both games at Carver Arena).
However, Bradley has lost their last 8 games in Springfield, MO.
            Time for a change!

I am tired of the "it's hard to play on the road" story - let's get it done this time...
We ought to be able to DO hard things instead of using it as an excuse...

                The road and being young!!

I totally agree Tornado I'm also tired of hearing how young this team is.The season is almost over, will they still be young as Seniors.

The Missouri State win at home seemed to jump start the team last month. Let??™s hope we get a win and start another winning streak!! Yes, Mac, I know better and I know this is highly, highly unlikely.

If we are going to see an exciting finish to the season this year, getting a win tonight would be huge in terms of momentum and confidence for Saturday and our first game in STL.

                        Our guys are capable.

Just draw 2 fouls on Johnson again in the first 60 seconds, and we should be good to go!
                        Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

Although Bradley is a 6 point underdog, and winning tonight's game will be difficult for Bradley, Missouri State is the kind of team that Bradley might match up against a little better than most. They rely so heavily on Alize Johnson, that if he is not having a great game, or if he gets into foul trouble like he did at Bradley, MSU can have a lot of trouble making up his lack of scoring. They lack great shooters and are the worst 3-point shooting team in the conference. And other than Johnson, they are not very athletic, like Bradley.

Bradley needs to study and try to replicate what they did in the game against Missouri State in Peoria last month. Bradley held Alize Johnson to just 7 points and 5 rebounds. They held the Bears to just 31.6% shooting, and 8-33 (24.2%) from three, and nobody scored more than 10 points. Also, Bradley had a season-low 5 turnovers that game.

I believe the key to not only this game but making a run in St. Louis is Nate Kennell. We seem to go as Nate gets hot. Here's to hoping the Nate Kennell that went crazy in Terre Haute shows up these next few games.

Jayden Hodgson has been battling "the flu" and will come off the bench tonight

but sounds like those two Missouri State guys who were injured with the cryotherapy are STILL OUT - haven't played a game in over a month
