  • Simeon Defeats Nations #1 Team on ESPN

Did anyone else watch the game at UIC Pavilion between Oak Hill, #1 ranked HS team in the country, and Chicago Simeon?
Both teams are loaded with D-I prospects, but Oak HIll has lots of guys going to BCS schools.
Oak Hill was lazy, overconfident, sloppy, and at times downright bad.
Simeon was lead by Derrick Rose who looked better than just about any college player I have seen this year.
Oak Hill came into the game 22-0.

GOOD. THIS REMINDS ME OF WHEN I WAS AT MANUAL HIGH SCHOOL AND WE ABSOLUTELY DISMANTLED #1 RANKED OAK HILL ACADEMY AT THE KMOX SHOOTOUT. THEY WERE LOADED THAT YEAR WITH WILLIAM AVERY, KEVIN LYDE, AND A COUPLE OF OTHER BIGTIME D1 RECRUITS WHO I NOW CANT RECALL.

''Before the game, I said I wanted to make history,'' Rose said. ''My mother told me this morning that not even LeBron James or Greg Oden had played on ESPN.''
I was pretty sure I saw LeBron's team play Oak Hill with three D1 recruit his senior year. Greg Oden's team played Eric Gordon's team last year. Am I missing something?

            Were those games on ESPN2?
Basketball doesn't build character it reveals it.

You guys are some hard core dedicated fans. I'm sorry but I can't get excited about watching hs basketball unless I had some vested interest in one of the schools being my alma mater.

Anyone else hear Rose's postgame interview? Wow, he will have to work on that, and good thing he is sticking with basketball
