Terrible last 6 minutes as the game slipped away from Bradley. Valparaiso scored 21 straight points to go from a 60-56 Bradley lead to a 77-60 Valpo lead.
Final score: Valparaiso 77 Bradley 64
AWFUL!!.... Another second half collapse and our coaches are not able to really understand the problem let alone, solve it.
The Valpo coach set things up beautifully.....His offense spread our defense and opened up driving lanes. Our confidence went South and our defense was useless....Our guys looked beat and they were. The Bradley program is really in the tank.

I??™ve been on here all season reading everything that??™s been said and have yet to comment. This season has been a roller coaster of high and lows. Figured I??™d make my first comment after tonight??™s game. I thought for sure if we were going to steal a road game this would be the one. It??™s just so damn disappointing that we can not BUY a win on the road, even against the worst team in the MVC. Yeah I know we won at Ind St but this is ridiculous. I hope there really is something to the whole young teams sturggle on the road thing because I keep telling myself that next year we should be able to win a few. At this point we have no momentum and really think we could be playing on Thursday again this year at Arch madness.

Still only a very low chance of playing on Thursday. Evansville is the only one who can knock us out of the top 6, and their remaining schedule is daunting. If they lose to Loyola tomorrow, it’s almost a done deal.
Looks most likely as of now, against probably either ISU or Drake. I??™ll love that side of the bracket of it works out that way. The loss tonight may be the best thing possible if things work out right the next couple weeks. I want nothing to do with Loyola or MSU until championship Sunday.

Agree, so the easy part is done. Now the hard part, we have to start playing much better again.

This was not a game that we had to "steal." True, this was a road game, but cmon, this should not be considered a tough place to play. No excuses. I've been in HS gyms for a Tuesday afternoon volleyball match that were more intimidating than the Valpo atmosphere. The game was lost when we were up 15-5 early. That is the critical time where Wardle has to get the job done. Either he is not a good coach or the players are not listening. We built the lead by attacking the rim and being strong. Be aggressive on offense. GET THE BALL IN TO CHILDS!!!! and let Thomas and Brown play off him. He was killin Valpo and then he's out of the game? Why not use our strength- he can physically get it done so why not get him the ball and allow him to take 20 shots? He only played 19 minutes and doesn't seem to stay in for long periods of time? He should be playing 30+ minutes every game. So, we stop attacking with an early 10 point lead and start jacking 3's? If Von Bree and Kennell cannot knock down 3's, they have no purpose on this team. And why do we dribble baseline to get under the hoop and jump out of bounds, get caught up, and have to throw the ball back out to guys STANDING AROUND beyond the arc to throw up 3's that they cannot consistently make. Coach Wardle, if some of our guys are not physically or mentally able to play the high ball screen and step-out and show with help and recover defense and rotate correctly to NOT GIVE UP LAYUPS!!! then they shouldn't be playing (Bar, and you know the others). Cmon Coach, I'm going to church now to continue to pray for this program. I expect that you step up and do your part!
Time to have the big 4 (Childs, Brown, Donte, and DLO, all playing st or above 30 minutes a game. Best players need to be playing substantial minutes now)
at one point, Coach Wardle went with a 3rd option at low post and put Callum Barker in..
right away Barker got a nice feed for wide open layup or dunk but fumbled the ball -
then luckily got fouled going after it...
but then he clanked the front end of a 1-and-1 so we wasted two opportunities to put points on the board.
Sorry to say, Childs & Donte are the only ones who can make the plays down low without dropping the ball out of bounds or clanking it off the iron. These guys are now 20-22 years old & have been playing ball for 15 years or more - so why are they so completely surprised and unprepared when they get defended and get the ball easily slapped out of their hands all night long?
I haven??™t see many games this season, but I have a hard time watching this team. I agree with Pistolp. Play your best players more and stop the constant substituting. I thought I was watching a game in the Fieldhouse back in the before Versace years. The worst thing for a player back then was to start scoring because he??™d be on the bench. These guys are too young to constantly need a rest. Another thing, Hodgson played 28 minutes and didn??™t take a shot. Never heard of such a stat by a player playing that many minutes.

Agree 100 % and my pet peeve is why these kids are in such bad shape they need to be replaced so often. Last time I checked they are 18 to 21 years old. If they are not in good enough shape to play 30 plus minutes shame on the staff for not getting them in good enough shape to do it. It's obvious our bench is not much help most games. It's time to cut guys like LUUK, KENNELL, BARkER,& Ludy. Clean house and get some kids in here that will listen AND HAVE SOME SKILLS. I'm tired of listening to the same RHETORIC we're experiencing game after game. Really getting PRETTY old. When officials work a game they are running for 40 minutes with no subs why in the hell can't 18 to 21 year olds do it. I just don't get it. Can someone please explain it to me.
