I am watching CBSSports Network and they are broadcasting a game between Bucknell and Colgate. They are the top 2 teams in the Patriot League.
Jordan Swopshire is now a senior for Colgate, and one of their top players.
He is Colgate's 2nd leading scorer (12.6 ppg), and 2nd leading rebounder (5.2 rpg). He is also theit top 3-point shooter (42.0%).

But one other noticeable thing is that Bucknell seems to be trying to bring back the sleeved jerseys that Evansville wore for so many years.

Personally I'm not a fan of the sleeved jerseys. I think they remind me too much of soccer jerseys. There is already enough flopping going on in basketball, I don't want them getting any more inspiration .

Did anyone else see the end of the Bucknell-Colgate game? Bucknell leads the Patriot League, and Colgate is in 2nd place. Colgate lead most of the game by double-digits and appeared to be cruising to a huge win.
Colgate lead by 8 points when Bucknell started their comeback with 20 seconds left in the game. They scored 9 points in the final 20.7 seconds, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to win the game. What an amazing finish!

Clearly you don't watch very much soccer.

                Jordan Swopeshire?

I see where Jordan Swopeshire is now the 2nd leadind scorer(12.6 ppg) and 2nd leading rebounder (5.2) and is shooting 42% on 3s at Colgate. I wonder why we dropped him? Did we misevaluate his talent or did he simply not "fit" into our team or locker room.

Geno was pretty lax with discipline and put up with a lot that many coaches would have never tolerated...
and yet Swopshire butted heads with Geno over and over and was the major discipline problem that Geno had - he needed to leave and start over somewhere else.
Recall- Swopshire had his very best game against PACIFIC ( LINK ) going 4-5 from 3-pt...so Geno somehow thought that should have earned him a starting spot or something...so he started the very next game...
BUT...apparently he didn't handle that well and was quickly re-relegated to a deep sub role the next game - then was right back to playing just 2 minutes per game, then got benched altogether for the net several games - even a few reports maybe he was suspended.

I think everyone agreed that he had talent but he failed to apply it here -
it is likely he has matured since then and is playing better - altho we will never know all the facts
Warren Jones and Jojo McGlaston also had talent and could score, but needed to go do it somewhere else..

                    Who Recruited Swopshire

Which of our Coaches offered Swopshire a scholarship?

He was a Geno Ford recruit in 2013.

First, I heard things from multiple sources close to the coaches that were relevant to why Jordan Swopshire did not fit in at Bradley and why he was asked to leave in March-April, 2014.
I posted about those things a couple years ago-

If he was not welcome to stay under Geno's coaching staff, who were extremely lax on discipline, then I doubt he would have worked out under Coach Wardle.

And, note that the Patriot League is nowhere close to the same level as the Missouri Valley Conference. The MVC is ranked 8th in conference RPI.
The Patriot League is ranked 27th in conference RPI-
2017-2018 Men's College Basketball Conference RPI (Rating Percentage Index) - a ranking of conference based on the average RPI of the teams in the conference, plus non-conference wins and losses, the best teams and automatic bids from the conferences.

So, though I am not trying to impune his talent, I think it is a mistake to presume that just because Swopshire is averaging 12.4 & 5.1 & 41% (his current stats) for Colgate, that he would be anywhere near those numbers in the MVC.
