Box score, if anyone wants to torture themselves-

SIU shot 64% in the 2nd half, and they were 7-10 (70%) from three! SIU had 34 points in the paint, mostly from an amazing layup drill performed by Kavion Pippin, who was 10-12 from the floor and Bradley's defenders are still trying to figure out how to guard him.
Maybe Pippin can parlay this performance into being an NBA lottery pick.

We are a play in team playing in a league with too many play in teams

IMO, he shoots too much anyway and plays too many minutes.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

i agree 100% he doesn't deserve near the minutes he's getting. We need a leader and his spot is where it should come from but it's not.

This league is way better than it has been the last several years. The easy thinking is because Wichita is gone the league has dipped but it??™s rised drastically. Look at rpi. Up from a ???sad??? 12 last year to 8 this year.

First thing first . What??™s happend to LVP?????? My offense would go inside to Bar Child??™s LVP and DT. Run Screens for Brown Jayden RS and NK for open high % mid range shots . I wanna see Brown looking for layups not circus shots. We gotta get it turned around Wends night if not hello Thursday .

The thing that's been really frustrating about this team is just how inconsistent we are from half to half. And unfortunately it's really showing up at the worst time of the year. Our first 3 game losing streak of the season heading into Wednesday home game against the Redbirds, who have beat the Braves 14 out of 16 games this decade including 7 straight. Hopefully we can get back that home mojo and take care of the walking wounded Redbirds. This is our biggest must win of the season.

strangely- despite all the losses.....we still have a HUGE opportunity to take care of business over the next five days.

-We ought to be able to devise a plan that would beat a depleted ISU squad WEDNESDAY,
since Evans, Fayne, and now maybe even Bruninga may be out

-then Saturday, we ought to be able to play well enough to pick up a road win at Valpo.

If we don't win them both, then we may well have proven we belong on Thursday.

BUT - a win Wednesday AND Saturday would push our record to 9-7 which could be good enough for a solid grasp on 3rd place and even possibly a tie for 2nd since SIU's next 3 games are against Missouri State, Loyola and at Indiana State where it is still tough to win.

Average or .500 teams play the way we do. Our total number of wins is inflated because of our weak non conference schedule. We are what we are.

I know we lost and we didn't look good, but did anyone else notice this...

BEFORE the SIU game, Dave Reynolds' pregame column went on and on and nearly the entire thing was all just heaping praise on SIU & Barry Hinson for how great they have done - and not a single mention about anything Bradley has done...REMEMBER, a lot of people had us picked 8th, 9th & 10th this season, and everyone had us playing Thursday and we might just break out of that string.
Add to that a few recent columns have been a little negative...

At the time that pregame column was written...
...and you gotta remember - Barry has been there six seasons, & Wardle is just working on his 3rd - AND SIU was picked well above BU in the preseason
....BUT as of yesterday - Bradley WAS JUST ONE GAME BEHIND THEM IN THE STANDINGS and already owned a win over them -

I just wonder if we were a game ahead of SIU, would their beat writer have generated a whole column of gushing praise while barely even mentioning their own team?
Sorry to beat a dead horse...but even with the ups & downs, the fans & the program need a little bit of fair coverage.

                        Agree

I sure agree with you that Coach Wardle deserves a little more respect.

I am disappointed also with the last 3 games, but we are an ascending team under Coach Wardle. Armon Brummett is the kind of superior athlete we need more of. We have good athletes now and I do not mean to put down the team we have. We just need more of that. They are hard to get when your program has not been winning of late. We are better than the year before for 2 years now and I believe Coach Wardle is doing a great job raising us from basically nothing.

I believe we are inconsistent because of our youth. At one time on the court I noted we were playing with 2 Freshmen, 2 Sophomores, and a Junior. That is a young and a relativity inexperienced team. I look at last year and this year..have we improved?...oh hell yes.. Are we there yet? no not yet. I believe our time we be next year.. I think we will go to some kind of tournament (CBI,etc.) this year which will be a nice reward for this team for a job well done
