And Bradley leads the MVC by a wide margin in attendance (about 400 more than the nearest team in MVC game attendance).
I hope the fans' loyalty is rewarded soon.
      Win games.

I didn't expect us to win tonight.

Those thinking we would... mehhh.... we are STILL rebuilding with a core of players that were taken in when the house was cleaned AFTER everyone else was signed. These kids are maturing but not good enough to win on the road - Indy State road win was a shock and maybe largely due to "out-of-our-arse" shooting by couple players.

I am not upset by this loss as I expected it.

I planned on a loss too, Mac. However, UNI is terrible. If you??™re gonna win any game, this was it. This new routine of 5 guys waiting around for 1 to do something in crunch time is getting old. This is the 3rd game in a row that this has happened starting with the Loyola game. We got lucky and win that one. I, agree, we probably lose the rest of the games except the the Indiana St game. I hope I??™m wrong.

One factor that hurt us was Lohaus getting hot like Kennell did at Indiana State
but the other factor was us fouling a 3-point shooter 4 times- a couple of those were non-existent but you just can't give the refs the opportunity to make that call

I was expecting better. UNI was a last place team, and Bradley has shown they should be a better team than them. Bradley beat them by 19 in Peoria. UNI had lost 3 straight, and was coming off a home loss to Indiana State. They also have had 3 home MVC losses. Bradley won their last road game, and finally looked better playing on the road. That, unfortunately, was a mirage
Our starters accounted for only 31 points, and 19 of them came from DLO.
No other starter made more than 1 basket. The starters did not record a single assist in the game.
UNi was one of the 2 worst shooting teams in the MVC, they have the worst 3-point defense, and they are not a good rebounding team. Yet we allowed them to outshoot us, held us to 15% from three, and outrebound us. We grabbed just 2 offensive rebounds for the game (3 if you count the "team rebound").
I am not giving up on the team, but it's discouraging to see such a sub-optimal performance against one of the worst teams in the league. We made them look more like the 2014-15 UNI team that went 31-4.

and they basically beat us with their subs as 3 of their starters and top performers (Brown, Pickford, McCloud) weren't giving much effort, got yanked and played only 4 minutes in the entire 2nd half

With 5 games to play we need to hope we can hold serve at home (ISU Red and ISU Blue). That would get us to 9-9 which to me is respectable and a step up from last year as i would imagine that would keep us out of Thursday. There's still a chance that we win at Valpo in my opinion as well which would get us to 10-8. I have hope but last night was awfully disappointing for a Bradley team that is much more talented than what we saw. If we can get ourselves to that 4/5 game in St. Louis, we should be happy as a fan base.

I would think all five of our remaining games are winnable - but then I thought that of last night's game..

Road games at Valpo and Missouri State are two teams in a funk and not playing well - and I think we match up well with SIU and can win there.
The home games vs. InSU & ISU are must win games!

I suspect the Waterloo-Cedar Falls newspaper will shift one of their other college or prep reporters over to cover UNI, or they may hire someone new.
Here are a couple possible candidates and there are others-
Jim Nelson- he covers UNI football, some UNI women's sports, college wrestling, and other sports like USHL hockey, as well as some prep coverage-

Nick Petaros- covers lots of prep sports, UNI women's basketball,

Looks like Nick Petaros has taken over the UNI beat for the previous reporter. Here is his game report for the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier-
