but seriously - I don't givahoot what your wiki thing says...
maybe you don't know, but it's the MVC that matters here and they determine that the BEAT REPORTER be one of the four VOTES each team has for the post-season ballots
So it is the MVC's designation of who is the beat reporter that has relevance...

They determine that for "All-Conference Team and Players of the Year" the votes come from:
"Four individuals from each institution will cast his/her ballot:
head coach, sports information director, newspaper beat writer
    and radio play-by-play."

    (per MVC web site)

so I don't think just anyone who wants to claim the title can do so.

    What I asked above was:
"....what's gonna happen when all the ballots for All-Conference, Player of the Year, & Coach of the Year are due at the end of February?"
It will have to be the MVC who determines who votes and it isn't gonna be Clay Cunningham and if you say the Des Moines guy, then what about the Cedar Rapids guy - or the BU Scout guy?

        Link for the Bradley game-
Watch the Bradley vs. Northern Iowa (M Basketball) live stream from ESPN3 on Watch ESPN. First streamed on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

        Darrell Brown not starting.

The announcers are already talking about how "It's been a long time since Bradley played a meaningful game in February". They must have gotten talking points from the PJ Star people.
Seriously, that fact has way more to do with the fact that teams like Creighton or Wichita State usually were running away with the conference in past years, but are gone now, and way less to do with Bradley's record this year.

back to bad habits- missed FTs, poor outside shooting, and passes that hit guys in the hands but are not caught

plus some mighty horrible calls - esp on that one where Haldeman slipped then ref calls a foul

Wyatt Lohaus keeping UNI in the game. He's 5-5 from three.
For some reason, Jacobson is not playing a couple of his better players and usual starters (Koch, Pickford, Brown) much.

Thank heaven I don't have seats where they have their microphone...
some guy hollers "oh come on" in the most obnoxious whiney voice with every single whistle

Final score: UNI 74 Bradley 65

This game was there for the taking, but a couple long scoreless spells, poor rebounding, and some suboptimal defense allowed UNI to pull away late for the win.

refs have destroyed the continuity of this game...and caused our guys to be scared stiff trying to defend, as everything is a foul

tough to win on the road..UNI shot well enough-
we have not defended the 3-pt well and did not rebound well - two things we'd been doing well
and outside of DLo we have not shot well and

we will be 7-6 with 5 games to go

A disappointing result in a game we were up 6 in the 2nd half. Unfortunately we went on one of our runs of not making any FG's and just couldn't get the job done. When you make more FT's than FG's normally that's not a good sign. Our defense wasn't very good either as we allowed Brad Lohaus to get a career high. Running out of time with just 5 games left. As long as we can beat the 2 ISU's at home we'll be 9-9 if we can't win at SIU, Valpo and Missouri State. That should be enough to keep us out of Thursday night at Arch Madness. But keep shooting like this and it's OH OH.

Another lackadaisical effort down the stretch in the 2nd half. No one wants to step up and take over. I think we peaked in january. I hope not, but it is looking like it. Also, another poorly officiated game. I??™m at a loss!!

The passion from the fans is there. We had over 400 people online after tonight's game, and the census is still at 360, while other fan forums are lucky to have 20-30 tops.
And Bradley leads the MVC by a wide margin in attendance (about 400 more than the nearest team in MVC game attendance).
I hope the fans' loyalty is rewarded soon.
