    Does anyone remember??

    February 1, 2011...
Here are a couple threads we had about that game back in 2011 - LINK - LINK

The infamous snow game in Peoria at the Civic Center 2/1/2011 that was moved up to 3pm and Peoria was hit with a terrible blizzard -
and thus only about 250 brave individuals actually made it to the game, despite the attendance being cited as 8,091
(imagine that- a freaking blizzard and we still drew 8,000 - maybe that will end KW's rewriting of history that the attendance decline began in 2007)

I have brought up this thread about that game for TWO reasons...

-First, today, February 1 is the 7th anniversary of this memorable game!

-Then 2nd, as a reminder to Dave Reynolds - who erroneously wrote in his column today that the "snow game" was in 2006...
Maybe Dave was one of those who couldn't make it to that game.

I was there because of my Toyota Highlander and Bradley beat Creighton. Their coach, Greg McDermott complained about the "timing" of the game causing his team's "rhythm" to be off. This was a good win for Jim Les, but it couldn't save his job.

I made it, thanks to 4-wheel drive, and my obsession with keeping my streak of never missing a home game since I moved back to Peoria 40 years ago.

I was there... moved all the way down to 2nd or third row behind Mark Scott as nobody was there... had a great time! And BU was great that day.

Unfortunately I lost my cell phone in the snow on the way out.... idk when I droppped it but the snow was so deep that day chances of finding were slim!

The PA announcer Paul Herzon made an announcement telling all fans in the higher seats to move down and pick a lower seat. As far as I know, it's the only time that's ever been done

I remember that day well . Living in the country, there was no way I could get to the game . So I bought the ???one game ??? BU TV subscription to watch it on my iPad . Apparently I should have read the fine print! My wife pays my credit card off each month . So I never see the bill . 8 months later she asked what I was paying for each month at Bradly for 10 bucks! I was shocked and just a tad unhappy!

              I remember this extrememly well...

My wife was in labor and I was watching the game from the delivery room at Methodist on my laptop. The OB doc was also a Bradley fan and watched most of the 2nd half with me on the couch. My wife recalls that we were still gushing about the game as she was about to deliver a couple hours later

We retold this story to our daughter yesterday on her 7th birthday...

I was lucky enough to be in Mesa, Az when that game was played, but I do remember a game i attended in the Fieldhouse that was played during similar weather conditions. There was also another game at the Civic Center on a Sunday that was played during similar weather conditions.
