Losing on the road to the 1st place team isn??™t a sin. We lost by 25 to Evansville...

I think they played very well against a tough non con. They lost a couple conference games they should have won. Even at 3-7 or whatever they are I see a realistic shot at 9-9 or so which I think gets them out of Thursday and fiinsjhing strong.
Maybe not. But let??™s put it this way. If we end up 4th. Who do you want Loyola playing out of valpo, Evansville, and other potential bottom feeders? Answer is probably UNI because they pose a great on a given night.
Just my opinion.

This year's team is one of UNI's worst shooting teams in memory. They are dead last in the MVC in FG percentage. Plus, as was said, they get very little from their bench. The only 2 decent big men they have are Koch and Carlson, and both are seniors. And they lack anything that resembles a playmaking guard (they are dead last in assists). So it could be a while before they challenge for the top of the MVC again, IMO.

BUT this is the MVC, home to weird things and unusual finishes...and as I was looking at Loyola's remaining schedule...
They have four home games left but 3 are against contenders who have won on the road- Missouri State, Drake & Illinois State - and all three are fully capable of playing well and winning at Gentile.
..and they have four on the road starting at Bradley, then Indiana State, Evansville and SIU - and all four of these might be tough, too!
