Untapped Scholars give back
Graduates of Metro High School who played basketball together and went on
to successful careers after graduating from college have formed a group
called Untapped Scholars. For its first project, it funded Christmas gifts for
four families. The Untapped Scholars are
Charonn D. Woods, M.D., physician, who attended Bradley University
and Saint Louis University School of Medicine;
Darryl Wells Jr., project manager in the oil and gas field, who
attended Oklahoma State University; Christian Owens, project engineer and
energy consulting, who attended Tuffs University; and Joshua Johnon,
process engineer in supply chain, who attended Purdue University.

This is what the NCAA should be emphasizing, the STUDENT-athlete not the ATHLETE-student. Again the NCAA as we know it needs to be disbanded
