Valley games today - Saturday Jan. 27
Drake at Evansville 1pm
SIU at Missouri State 5pm
Valpo at ISU 9pm
best case scenario for Bradley would be Evansville, Valpo and probably SIU to win, altho SIU & Missouri State currently have identical 5-4 conference records.

Evansville by 15 late in the 1st half - Timmer scoreless
...edit - halftime score
Evansville 37 - Drake 24
Drake's Reed Timmer is o-fer and with 3 turnovers but does have 2 pts on FTs
For Evansville Blake Simmons has 11m Noah Frederking has 12
the difference is that Evansville is shooting well, Drake no so...

SIU lead almost the entire game, then Missouri State tied it in the final minute, but SIU comes back to win on the road at MSU 79-77. SIU is now 6-4, MSU is 5-5. Armon Fletcher and Kavon Pippin had great games for SIU. Alize Johnson had a career-high 29 points for MSU.

This was really a good game in the last 10 minutes as both teams made good plays on both ends. I'm glad this Alize Johnson didn't show up in Peoria. Missouri State kept chopping away at the lead until they finally tied it, for only the 2nd time of the game, at 75 with 1:33 left. Both teams then traded turnovers and Pippen put SIU back into the lead at 77-75 with 46 seconds left. Missouri State got the ball to Johnson who was able to tie the game up at 77 with 34 seconds left. SIU used most of the shot clock and with 6.7 seconds left Fletcher made a layup. Missouri State didn't look for Johnson and a 3 pointer at the buzzer missed.
ISU Red has led from the beginning and have steadily pulled away from Valpo. they lead 50-34 with 11:07 left. Phil Fayne for the Redbirds is having a great game with 22 points as he's 10-11 from the field.

ISU wins it 76-65. Fayne ended up 11-12 from the field and scored 24 points and had 9 rebounds but left the game with 4:19 left with what looked like a left knee injury as he got rolled into on a scramble for a loose ball. Malik Yarbrough and Keyshawn Evans each had 17. Bakari Evelyn led Valpo with 20.
