Throughout all it's history NCAA had been exclusively comprised of American colleges & universities....
that all changed in 2011 when the first Canadian school, Simon Fraser University, joined NCAA as a Division II school, and they play in an American DII Conference, The Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
But now, the NCAA has just voted to begin accepting applications for new members from Mexico as well as Canada!
There is currently (at least) one Mexican University interested in becoming a member of NCAA Division II.
