  • D-LO now reminds me of . . .

Former Wichita State player Tekele Cotton. Cotton was a tough, physical 6-foot-3 guard who averaged between 8-10 points a game and was twice the MVC Defensive Player of the Year. Anyone here agree?

That D-LO has accepted this new, less glamorous but very important role after being our go-to guy offensively when he arrived says a lot about his character and maturity. He and Donte are setting great examples in hustle and effort.

I hope D-LO is hearing a lot of appreciation from the fans. I'll lead the cheers. Keep it up, D-LO, and everyone will soon know how to pronounce your name!

I can see what you're saying, but I see a couple differences. DLO has some decent point guard skills, and frequently brings the ball up the court. Although Cotton was a good passer, he was never a point guard. Cotton was the 2014-15 Defensive Player of the Year, while DLO is a good defender, I don't see him quite at the level of a DPOY.

There was a guy Golden on Valpo who I was thinking the same exact thing that he resembles Cotton - a little bit of Osiris E. too.
