Specific to Bradley and the remaining schedule, I see every Valley road game as being very difficult to win and select teams (Missouri State - Loyola - Northern Iowa - Illinois State) as being difficult to beat playing at home at Carver Arena. What do other people think?

They will all be tough. Some people picked UNI to win the league, but they were beaten by Indiana State, who was picked 8th. I suspect we will see a lot of "upsets" this season, since there are no dominating teams.

I agree. The SIU wn last night and Drake??™s ability to hit the three point shot proved that higher division teams migh be picked off.

          One Game

I don't relish losing to Drake, either, but as others have said, it is only one game. They made the shots when we didn't because we had s poor shooting night. That is going to happen from time to time. The game was there for us to win. It was a road game and we were in it all the way. We will win our share of this kind of game. I think there will be a lot of close contests in the Valley this year because there is no clear best team in the league any more.

No one is happy, including the team and the Coaches. We are going to be ok. Lets play better on Sunday night!

I was at the game last night. Good turnout for a Thursday night on the road by the BU fans. Unfortunately, we left shocked and disappointed. WAY too many mental mistakes. I believe we have some good talent on this team but there is no way we win with the mental mistakes we continually make. And the one thing that really stuck in my craw..... we are down 2 with the ball and 50 seconds left.... why on earth did BW not call a timeout there?!?!? We were completely lost and that was the make it or break it point of the game. A huge mistake in my eyes..

Also curious...what did BW have to say about the game on the postgame show?

I was too depressed to listen. Plus, the post-game interviews have become very short and not very interesting or informative. Does anyone disagree?

Is that a Learfield change, to have the interviews shorter?

Wardle was stern and serious. He told them the execution was poor and he said the team knew they played poorly and they'd have to live with it that night. The next day he suggested they would put it behind them and concentrate on the next game.

Totally agree DC. Seems like if they win, it’s a hair longer...but if they lose...its super short. I’m sure that’s at the coach’s discretion.

No, it's my understanding that it's the coach's preference to do the post-game show immediately after the end of the game and get it over with quickly, instead of doing it after he talks to his team in the locker room and does the official post-game press conference like previous coaches did.
I recall with previous coaches, we would hear the full summary of the game and the rundown of player and team stats by Dave and Chad while we were driving home after games, and then we'd listen to the post-game coach's show on a radio at home, well after the game was over.
Since he seems in a hurry to get it over with so he can get to the other activities, it became much shorter and not much worthwhile discussion goes on. I wonder if they know what fans think of this abbreviated and less informative model?

Did anyone catch that former Northern Iowa legend Ali Farokhmanesh is on the Drak coaching staff?
