          Isu wins at ole miss
BU gets smoked at ole miss
Bu gets beat at lowly bottom dweller / major rebuild drake

BU is not where they should be in year three of BW. Drake is in year one of their rebuild and out played us.

Tough to win on the road in the Valley, but the Braves held their own throughout the game. Every road game will be challenging, including the supposedly weaker Valley teams of Evansville, Indiana State, SIU, etc.

We may have overestimated where this team would be this year. As I see it, Bradley's team is made up of a lot of pretty good role players, but nobody who stands out. Does anyone see a 1st or 2nd team All MVC player on the team?
The coaches need to recruit better talent, and more athleticism.

The fans we have left have been very patient, but they won't remain fans forever.

I agree with your post 100%. That was just plain awful. Can't lose to Drake anywhere and compete. Thur . night sure is a possible. Pretty sad.

This should have been a 12-14 point win. They are in year one of a rebuild. In BW???s year one, we got smoked by 20 pts every where we went. To lose on day one of our valley season at Drake is beyond horrible . If you can??™t win at drake ,where can you win??? Seriously .... where ????Northern Iowa will win by 20 at Peoria . Even with WSU gone from the valley, BU is looking like a bottom 4 team . Hope I??™m wrong , but changes need to happen very soon

Glad I gave up season tickets after four decades. Tired of watching Horizon League talent. I may buy individual game tickets for ISU-red and SIU and request the seats I use to have as season tickets.

Don't take this wrong, because I like our bench and I am glad they have been doing pretty well......but when you have a 9-point first half lead - you need to keep your pedal to the metal.....

but we kept most of our starters out for 10-12 min of the first half because four had early foul trouble...
Of those four, only three picked up only one more foul the entire rest of the game and nobody ended with more than 3 fouls...

So was the strategy to play such large 1st half minutes with reserves helpful or hurtful? In that time span, our 9 point early lead quickly became a 4-point deficit...so in just a 7-minute span they outscored us by 13 points with us playing

Beat me to it T. Our leading scorer played less than players who barely contributed and still only had 3 fouls.

Drake won vs Wake Forest by 3 (neutral floor in Virginia)
                          --- Wake Forest beat Illinois
Drake lost by 1 at Minnesota

Seems Drake can be competitive at times.

Coach.....I agree 100% with you. Our kids just are not tough enough and nasty enough. They are nice kids and are reasonably good students who will not do anything to embarrass Bradley. As a group, they are not athletic and apparently none of them are true leaders in the dressing room or on court.
Our coaches need to set their sights higher in recruiting. and....no JC "in be tweeners" or projects. IMO it's going to be another two or three years of mediocrity, low attendance at games, and not a lot of local fan enthusiasm for Bradley.

While I am not happy that Bradley lost this game, I think a lot of fans are completely overreacting. Should we have won? Yes. We didn??™t play well enough to win, but it??™s only one game. Yes Drake isn??™t great, but they??™ve been a lot better than I think anyone thought they??™d be at this point. To this stage on the season, Bradley is 10-1 in games they should win. Everyone stumbles, even the big boys. We still aren??™t the best team in the Valley, but we also aren??™t the worst. I still fully expect us to go 7-2 at home and 2-6 or 3-5 in our remaining road games. This was a bad loss, no doubt about that, but I think there??™s a lot of unwarranted pessimism after it. Despite the bad start, I??™d still be surprised if we played on Thursday and I??™d expect, when we get Drake at home, we beat them soundly.

I was hoping that an 11-3 start with a tough UNI squad coming here would have gone a long way to getting more fans and a buzz back to Carver Arena. Last night's loss dimmed that hope, but hopefully we'll start a new hot streak on Sunday and can regenerate the excitement as the conference season goes on.

The goal I had for the Braves this season is still attainable -- a top half of conference finish. My prediction of BU finishing third in the Valley, though, took a big hit last night.

A team always looks better when the shots fall. Just one or two made shots from some of our usually reliable shooters and our conversation would be different today.

Athleticism is great and necessary, but I remember Geno supposedly recruited athletes and we all whined that we needed shooters. Our shooters had a bad night on the road, but hopefully will heat up on the cold Sunday ahead.
