Former Loyola guard Milton Doyle had his share of great games against Bradley before graduating after the 2016-17 season. He was named 1st team All MVC his senior season, and was having an excellent year playing in the G-League playing for the Long Island Nets, averaging 21.8 ppg-
He was just called up to the Brooklyn Nets today, and will be eligible to play tonight in the Nets' game against the Indiana Pacers. He is the first Loyola player to make it to the NBA since Andre Moore, who played 10 games in the NBA in the 1987-1988 season.
One additional note of interest to Bradley fans. Doyle was the 12th leading scorer in the G-League so far this season, but there is a former MVC player who has an even higher scoring average:
Walter Lemon, Jr., a 2014 graduate of Bradley, where he ranks 7th all time in scoring for the Braves. He is ranked 7th in the G-League with an average of 23.6 ppg for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He also ranks 11th in the G-League with an average of 6.8 assists per game. He spent most of the previous 3 seasons playing in Europe.
