    The 2 MVC games today-

Illinois State (6-6) at Evansville (10-3)- starts at 1 PM CST, and is on the NBCSportsChicago network (formerly ComcastSportsChicago), and also on FoxSportsMidwest (out of St. Louis). It is also listed on espn3.com.
ISU is a mere 1?? point favorite, which surprises me, although Evansville's RPI remains the 2nd highest in the MVC at 72. ISU's RPI is 95 going into today's games.
    MVC RPI's-
2018 College Basketball Missouri Valley Conference Standings: Conference RPI rank, conference and division standings, conference record, games back, overall record, team rpi, and streak.

Southern Illinois (7-5) vs. Duquesne (9-3)- at 7:30 PM CST- this is the Saluki's second game in the Las Vegas Classic at the Orleans Arena. Duquesne is in the first year under new head coach Keith Dambrot. Dambrot had tremendous success in his 13 seasons at Akron. He took over a perennial losing program, and had winning seasons every year. He won 20+ games his last 12 years, and even his first year there, he won 19 games. Now he is trying to rebuild Duquesne after they had gone 6 years since their last winning season. They are 9-3, but their RPI is a rather poor 246, one of the worst in the Atlantic-10 and worse than any team in the MVC. That is because their SOS is terrible at 341. SIU is a 5 point favorite.

A couple other games of interest, not involving the MVC-
Illinois (8-5) vs. Missouri (10-2) - 7 PM CST at the Scottrade Center - Missouri is a 4 point favorite

UC Davis (8-4) vs. Radford (6-6) - 4:30 PM CST- another of the games in the Las Vegas Classic in the Orleans Arena, where SIU is playing. UC Davis defeated Lamar last night without their star player Chima Moneke who averages 19 ppg and 10.4 rpg. Jim Les gave no reason why he sat his star player, though he hinted to media that Moneke might play today.
UC Davis is a 3 point favorite.
Jim is doing a tremendous job this season. UC Davis won the Big West Tournament and played in the NCAA Tournament last year for the first time in school history. They went 1-1 in the NCAA Tournament, losing to Kansas. It was expected this would be a rebuilding year for Jim, since they lost 3 starters and lost 5 of their top 7 players, including their top scorer and their top 2 three point shooters from last year's team. But they have played well this season.
UC Davis has an RPI of 35, the best RPI in the Big West, and better than every MVC team except UNI, whose RPI is currently one slot better at 34. Their Strength of Schedule is ranked #51
2017-2018 Men's College Basketball Rating Percentage Index (RPI) Live - a ranking of teams based on their win percentage and strength of schedule (their opponents' average win percentage and their opponents' opponents' average win percentage) and sometimes additional or bonus factors such as game location or site updated every minute.

ISU seems to have the ability to really get hot from 3-pt and did today

11-24 but the starters were 10-16

Evansville looked pretty good today. They??™ll be tough to beat in their own court.
