Well deserved. His skill repertoire is versatile and he could win Valley Player of the Year honors. Acceptance and commitment to the program will be essential, but he is a special talent.

One other bit of news related to the Illinois State team....beat writer Jim Benson reports the backup point guard Jerron Martin, a 5th year grad transfer from Texas Southern University, has been suspended indefinitely and is considering leaving the team-

He was averaging 10 minutes per game, 2 ppg, and 1 apg.

he played double digit minutes in many earlier games but has slid to the far end of the bench...
he did not play at all in the Ole Miss game and probably is regretting his transfer choice.

ISU Head Coach Dan Muller announces officially that guard Jerron Martin has left the team-

This should have no negative effects for ISU, barring an unforeseen injury to one of their key guards. Martin was a 5th year grad-transfer, so his scholarship would have opened at the end of this season anyway.

Other ISU notes, Christian Romine, who left the team for personal reasons before the season started, was in Redbird Arena last night, although he was not dressed and was seated behind the bench for last night's game. And as we posted elsewhere, in last night's ISU win over UIC, David Ndiaye did not play, and Elijah Clarence did get in the game for 3 minutes in the first half, but then came out and never returned to the game.

where it could potentially be a concern is if either Evans or Yarbrough get injury or foul trouble...then they are dangerously thin at PG
They still have Hein, but he's averaging fewer points per 40 minutes (6.0) than Luke Litwiller and fewer assists per 40 minutes (1.1) than Elijah Clarance.
