Disappointed with the Birds record so far, but what would you think if the Bradley bench consisted of Martin, Gassman, Hein, and Litwiller, while a starter was shooting around 15% from the field? Hoping for a top four finish in the Valley but who knows? Weakest reserve strength I??™ve seen in decades. Consider yourself fortunate that BU has a fairly deep rotation.

Taylor Bruninga got hot from three in the 2nd half and ended up with a career high 20 points, all in the second half. Tinsley played only 2 minutes in the 2nd half, and he and Madison Williams ended up scoreless.
BYU held on for the 89-68 win-
For some reason, the ESPN box score shows Bruninga with just 18 points, though the official box score had him for 20.
Box score for the BYU Cougars vs. Illinois State Redbirds NCAAM game from December 6, 2017 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
The MVC goes 1-4 tonight-

Final post of the night because this old guy is sleepy....regarding Clarance, I am Intrigued by the prospect of a 6??™4??? left handed natural point guard. But I acknowledge he is a freshman and will be prone to mistakes and may suffer re-injury. N??™Diaye is merely tall and not an offensive threat at all, but may alter shots and pull a few rebounds while occupying space in the middle. Romine remains a mystery. I will however, trade you Tinsley and Hein for your Elijah Childs.

I think Bradley fans will pass on your generous offer.
Despite Loyola's huge upset at Florida, with the other 4 losses, the MVC drops to 7th in conference RPI-

I initially thought Loyola would be contender for the MVC title.... many thought UNI would run away with it... some thought Mo St will win it.... I think Bradley can be in the mix... but THIS Loyola win shows they are a team ready and poised to contend for the Valley title.
This game - they passed well and shot well and defended well. Someone got hurt in the game, he turned an ankle... thought it might hurt them down the stretch, but didn't.

Clayton Custer is their starting point guard who left the game with an ankle injury. It was one of the worst looking turned ankles I have seen. I'd be surprised if he doesn't miss quite a bit of time, and that could hurt them. He was their leader in assists, their top free throw shooter, and one of their top 3-point shooters. He also lead the league by a wide margin in assists to turnover ratio. Loyola already lost Ben Richardson, another point guard, with a broken hand. He won't be ready to return until the end of December or early January.
