sadly I think the days of the bus trips are gone...
anyone who was ever on one will likely agree that the fans who were enthusiastic about those bus trips & signed up for them were long time fans, who had gone to Bradley & followed the Braves since the days that the Fieldhouse was packed. That generation of fans is now aging, moving south, and the few who might be left have lost most of their faith in the admin after what happened between 2008-2015.
If you tried to arrange one now, all you'd need is a mini-van and an Uber driver because I doubt you'd get many fans wanting to go...
There is still hope...
the over 1,200 that crammed the ballroom downtown when we had the Ken Goldin-organized Tradition Banquet celebrating the new administration in 2015 gave me a little glimmer of hope.
I sure hope those days return, and I am one of the fans who has kept my lower bowl seat despite the jacked ticket prices & maintenance while 50% of all the seats around me are vacant...
Nobody would love to see us return to prominence & packed houses more than me but it's still a steep climb after the hole dug for us by Glasser & Cross.
BTW- if you want an interesting read- go back and read all the posts in that thread about the Welcoming banquet for Dr. Chris Reynolds & Brian Wardle.
Some amazing promises that we already are seeing fulfilled and some prophetic statements about how much better we'd be in 3 years...

I think I have the answer...
The last bus trip sponsored by Bradley was in November 2011, but that was for the NCAA Soccer Tournament in Louisville
The last bus trip for a basketball game appears to have been in November 2009, and was geared towards students but I heard from a few fans who rode along
If you go back to 2006 & 2007, there were a few fan bus trips every season - the loss of Ken Kavanagh and Ken Goldin doomed the bus trips after 2008

Congrats on the nice road W.
You guys traveled extremely well too. Attendance was only 750 today but undoubtedly at least 100-200 were BU fans.
I have some colleagues that attended and they said you guys were loud and very supportive. You guys helped them nearly double their normal attendance.
I am happy for the Cougars and the University that they made a few extra bucks.Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. Lots of big games have been played there and for you die-hards that will make the trip I think you will enjoy it immensely.
Perhaps its a sign of respect to Bradley? Maybe they moved the game to their old gym in an effort to find some of the old magic and perhaps spring an upset against easily their toughest home opponent of the year. The 150th Anniversary is just a bonus.
I actually think it's a cool idea. If there are 800-1200 people in that facility that will sound and feel a lot better than that same qty in the Convo center. The atmosphere should be very lively and fun. What part of illegal don't you understand?

in all fairness, if that quote was from 2/9/10 - the truth, is....Bradley did play ISU on 2/9/10...
Dinma had 12 pts in that game and Egolf kinda held his own and scored 7 - Taylor Brown had 13 pts/9 rebs.
....The game being was close all the way, and Sam Maniscalco led all scorers with 17 - so I guess that means whoever was guarding Sammy (Osiris Eldridge had just 7 pts & 1 reb) "was not good enough"?

Dinma had almost 2x the points and his 15 boards were nearly 4 times as much as WE. Heck DO had 7 offensive boards that game alone. Not sure how that constitutes kinda holding his own.
I think even the most ardent of Braves supporters would have to agree that DV's criticism and assessment of that game and WE's performance were fair.
A larger question.......why are we even talking about this? Should I change my sig? It's been there for years and nobody cared. I googled your exact quote - cut and pasted precisely as you have it in your "Signature" - and surprise....
the only place the search engines can find that it is.......
it's in your posts on BradleyFans! So did you make that quote up just for your BradleyFans posts?

Here's a clue...the game was on comcast spotlight.
The Bradley men's basketball team will be shooting for payback Tuesday night when the Braves (12-11, 7-6 MVC) host Interstate 74 Rival Illinois State (16-8, 7-6 MVC) in the rematch of the annual two-game Missouri Valley Conference series Tuesday night at Carver Arena. Tuesday's game has been deemed the first-ever "Blackout" in Bradley Basketball history.

cpacmel, the quote does not appear there anywhere in the link you provided...
- so you are saying Bradley fans who have never seen nor heard that quote anywhere, and cannot find it anywhere
we should just accept that you were listening, and heard it & wrote it down to assure it is accurate?
Got it...
btw- comparing Odiakosa to Egolf...is interesting...
Odiakosa would have been a 5th year senior in that game, with Egolf just a sophomore coming off a terrible knee injury and surgery.
I guess we can play that game almost any time....
In yesterday's ISU-Ole Miss game...(and apologies to TB)...
Ole Miss' 6-8 forward Bruce Stevens went for 27 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists...
while ISU's highly touted 6-8 forward Taylor Bruninga went for 2 points, 1 rebound and zero assists in 24 minutes!
...so would we be obligated to say this about Taylor Bruninga "That's not good enough and he's not good enough"
