Drake leads at Wyoming 38-37 at halftime.
Box score for the Wyoming Cowboys vs. Drake Bulldogs NCAAM game from December 2, 2017 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

The MVC leads the MWC-MVC Challenge 5-3 right now, so if Drake can hold on, the MVC will win the Challenge for the first time since the first one in 2009 (there was no Challenge in 2013 or 2014).

              2009 MVC won 5-4
              2010 MWC won 8-1
              2011 Tied 4-4
              2012 MWC won 6-3
              2013 -
              2014 -
              2015 MWC won 6-4
              2016 Tied 5-5
              2017 Currently MVC leads 5-3

The total record for all Challenge games right now is MWC 36 - MVC 27 with 2 games left to be completed this year (Drake at Wyoming and Bradley at SDSU).

South Dakota State is a very tough place to win. They don't lose many games at home.

Early lead for the Bears. SDSUs gym and floor are old school and very cool.

Tough luck for Drake. They ran out of gas and lost 96-89 in 2 overtimes at Wyoming.

That makes the MWC-MVC Challenge now 5-4 in favor of the MVC. We need Bradley to win tomorrow to win the Challenge.

I took the grandkids to the ISU game today because an ISU player is from their school. While Fayne and Yarbrough had good games I was impressed with Madison Williams shooting, defense and quickness. From what little I saw of him last year, he is much improved and a far better scoring option than Tinsley. Fayne showed good moves inside and even had two baskets using his right hand. It will be a good game when they play the Braves, recognizing of course that BU has a much deeper bench. Clarance was in street clothes and I never saw the 7 footer Ndiaye.

After the game, Muller said: David Ndiaye was not at the game because he did not handle some academic responsibilities.

The "big three" (Yarbrough, Fayne, and Evans) pretty much carried the Redbirds to the nice win. Williams did look a little better today (3-10 from the field for 9 points), and they'll really need him to help with the scoring, since they aren't getting much from anyone else. ISU got almost nothing from their bench today (3 total bench points from Gassman). And as I predicted, Bruninga continues to be ineffective against bigger, more athletic opponents. He really should be red-shirting, but ISU's injury circumstances didn't allow for that. He had 0 points and only 1 rebound, and has only 11 points total in his last 6 games against D1 opponents. And it remains a mystery why Tinsley, who was a high scorer at juco, can't find the basket. He had 2 points in 29 minutes, and is shooting just 20% overall, and 17% from three on the season, and averaging just 3.6 ppg (2.8 ppg if only D1 games are counted). And Jerron Martin, who Jim Benson praised in his recent article was invisible, too (0 points, 0 assists, 0 rebounds).

Keyshawn Evans injured his left shoulder according to Muller-

As noted elsewhere, the Missouri State-South Dakota State game is being televised on the NBCSports Plus Channel on cable.

Missouri State pulled out to a 17 point halftime lead (43-26) against SDSU, and they have maintained a 10-18 point lead in the second half.
They currently lead 58-43 with 8 minutes left in the game.
