If in fact a single game suspension, it couldn't be at a more opportune time. Quincy is expected to be marginally competitive. Still, as a long time Valley fan, I do get tired of reading about player suspensions.. at some point one would think that 21-22 year olds, as is the case withYarbrough, would have some semblance of responsibility. Deontae Hawkins last year was even older, and still had issues.
It will only get better when schools and coaches quit playing pattycake with these players. Sit them down at the beginning of the season and say here are the rules, here is what will happen if you break them, and follow it thru when and if it happens

YA, I watched the ISU games in the Puerto Rico Tipoff, and to put it mildly, it is obvious that Yarbrough has an attitude problem, and a real problem with taking orders from a coach. He played well in the win over South Carolina, but he still displayed his bad attitude from what I saw. Then he sat on the bench for most of the Boise State game as an apparent disciplinary move by Coach Muller. And in the final game against Tulsa, he played well, but had a couple confrontations with Muller, and acted like he was upset he didn't get to play the way he wanted or shoot the ball enough. I suspect this suspension has to do with his disrespect for the coach, rather than his unprecedented number of entries in the McLean County criminal database for the short time he has been there.
He better adjust quickly, because he is just about out of options if he wants to play D1. If he leaves ISU, he'll burn what time he has remaining sitting out another season.
The player attitude problem is far worse now than ever before, probably due to coddling since grade school travel team basketball. Can you imagine if a player would have tried to upstage Versace or Donewald back in the 80s? I've also heard that select AAU coaches wield a lot of influence with some players as well as players family and friends entourage. Yarbrough has a lot of talent, but I question his maturity..
after numerous arrests and court dates skipped, Milik Yarbrough finally got a lawyer to get him an extension on his traffic and driving on suspended license citations- but the court site states he failed to appear again yesterday in court. A cursory review of his online court record shows it's at least the 6th or 7th charge that he's failed to appear on.
DJ Clayton, Quintin Brewer, Paris Lee and others have committed offenses, alcohol violations, robberies and even felonies then skipped out on their court dates..
edit - now he has a bond forfeiture date of Mar 6, but still will have warrants out for him - does the ISU staff even care about much of their team having arrest warrants out for them?
Multiple guys all the way back to Osiris Eldridge, Anthony Slack & others have skipped town and are dodging warrants, collections, and cases that they failed to appear on.
