  • Most impressed?

Who is your most impressive player so far this season? Darrell Brown has been great so far this year but it was kinda expected. Nate Kennel and Donte Thomas are solid again this year as well. Hopefully Nate doesn??™t have much of a sophomore slump. Luuk has been good so far as well and I think will be a fantastic player over the next couple years. He has size and skills that are not too common in the MVC and he should have plenty of opportunities to be a great player in this conference.

I have to say I am most impressed with Elijah Childs. Averaging 7 pts and 6 rebs per game for the first 5 games is a nice accomplishment for a freshman. Elijah is reminding me a bit of Taylor Brown but maybe even more of Theron Wilson. It??™s great to see a forward that is skilled and can score and it is amazing he is only a freshman.

I know the schedule is soft but I??™m optimist for this team going forward. It may not be until DBs senior year that BU really makes a nice post season run, but Coach is doing a good job rebuilding this team.

I'd say Childs, too. Not only is he more developed offensively that I expected, I have seen him play pretty good defense for a freshman, so far. He can give Bradley a huge boost in the center/power forward position where they were not as deep as other areas.

I also vote for Elijah Childs. He is not only producing but is consistently producing. I think Koch Bar better watch out for fear of losing his starting spot.

I was actually trying to think of how Childs gets into the starting line up. Donte won't lose his spot. The only way I see it is if Koch goes to the bench or Donte plays more of a small forward role, which is actually where I thought he would spend most of his college career when he came in.

I would also agree with Childs as many of you have. It is clear that he has a knack for the ball and likes to be physical in the paint. Bradley hasn't had someone like this in a long time. We've been soft in recent years but that is quickly changing with the attitude and culture that BW is implementing. I'm awfully excited to see where Childs can go because I do believe he is destined to have a great career for the Braves.

Elijah Childs has been very impressive to far, especially considering the minutes he has played. I think the starting five will change game by game depending on the matchups. Since we do not have a dominate center and the team seems to perform better when go with the more athletic "smaller big men" I think Elijah will get as many minutes as the starters, even if he does not start.

I would also vote for Childs. As for starting does it really matter? It seems the team gets its first spark from the bench anyway. It really only matters how this team finishes and coach has been doing a really good job of putting the 5 players that seem to be playing the best at the end of the game to finish out each game.
