Boise is a good team but hard to imagine they're up 30...
Bruninga is now just 2-11 in his last two games, Gassman definitely doesn't look like he's gonna keep that scholarship very long, & Madison Williams must think he's been given the green light anywhere, anytime

nobody had any book or video to scout ISU since almost their whole lineup either has never played before or sat out last year..
BUT...now they have a little to go on and Boise has scouted them well... they had ISU's whole game plan shut down by defending Yarbough from getting penetration...

I got a bad feeling that the MVC could go 1-4 today

Will there be a running breakdown of Bruninga struggles all year to justify Bradley not going after him harder?

So far the only comments I have seen here about Bruninga have been positive, though I predicted he would struggle against more athletic opponents. But I like his potential. I still believe he would have benefitted from a redshirt year, but unfortunately, the injuries made it necessary for him to play.

not quick enough to defend those guys that the NBA scouts came to watch..it's why most of the schools recruiting him kinda urged him to redshirt a year.
Boise State's Chandler Hutchison went for 19 pts, 18 rebs (raises his avg to 14 ppg, 10 rpg, 5 apg) and two other Boise players (Hobbs, Jessup) also had more rebounds than anyone on ISU.

speaking of NBA, anyone else notice that at least 1/2 the talk the announcers engaged in was about the NBA? Have they been told to hype the NBA because ESPN's trying to boost their sagging ratings?
Talking about Boogie Cousins playing for NO and Isaiah Thomas at Cleveland with LeBron, etc...

I want to see all the Valley teams do well to enhance the Valley's ranking. I am confident that Bruninga will continue to develop and contribute. The shot will be there.

Indiana State is having a bad shooting day, too. They are struggling to stay with an athletic Old Dominion team.

One thing that has been understated so far is the scoring of ISU's Keyshawn Evans. I don't have the stats but I believe he had 28, 17, and at least 18 today. That's pretty good production from a player playing out of position, by necessity, as a point guard against three quality opponents. I wonder if he can keep up that kind of scoring in the Valley schedule. Should BU zone or guard him man to man when they play? Interested in other opinions. Thanks.

Missouri State loses at home to N. Dakota State!
Valley at risk of going 0-5 today - hard to believe the preseason pick for MVC Champion loses at home to Summitt League middle-of-the-pack team

Aliza Johnson had 23 pts/20 rebounds.

update-- Drake may pull one out up 6 pt with a minute to go vs. Wake Forest

                  one more interesting one-
Milwaukee goes to Iowa State and wins, then comes home to lose to tiny Concordia of St. Paul

Drake pulls out the win over Wake Forest 77-74. So the MVC goes 1-4 yesterday.
Danny Manning is having a bad season in his 4th year at Wake Forest. After posting his first winning record last year at 19-14, and getting an NCAA bid he probably didn't deserve, they are 0-3 with all 3 losses to midmajors.

                    Yesterday's scores (Fri. Nov. 17)-
Live scores for every 2024-25 NCAAM season game on ESPN. Includes box scores, video highlights, play breakdowns and updated odds.

two of their senior guards made the difference...
Reed Timmer was 6-8 from 3-pt range with 29 pts, Graham Woodward was 5-9 with 20 pts, the two accounting for 77% of Drake's offense.
The only 3 guys Drake has over 6-2 (Schlatter- 28 min, Kuentsling-3 min, McGlynn- 9 min) combined for only 40 minutes and 10 rebounds -
The other 160 minutes of playing time were just the little guys 6-2 and under...
and yet DRAKE as a team outrebounded a much bigger Wake team.
