Robert Morris is an NAIA school located in the south loop area of Chicago (401 South State St.). This will be their first game of the 2017-18 season. They were 27-7 last year, and 18-2 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. They have been very successful under head coach Al Bruehl, who was there for 20 years and just retired after last season-

This year their new head coach is former assistant Othyus Jeffers, who played for Robert Morris, is a former NAIA Player of the Year, and went on to an NBA career.

They lost their top 4 scorers from last year, and 6 of their top 7 scorers.
Their leading returning scorer and rebounder is Dallis Flowers, a 6'3" sophomore who averaged 6.8 ppg and 3.2 rpg last season.
There are a lot of new names on their roster this year, including a bunch of junior college transfers. Their roster contains a total of 21 players, 11 of them are juco transfers, and a couple more are transfers from other colleges.

Othyus Jeffers also played two seasons at UIC after transferring from juco where he played one season. He's always been a prolific scorer - averaging 28 ppg & 16 rpg as a senior in high school in Chicago.
He would have returned to UIC for his senior year but he had some issues with then coach Jimmy Collins - so he still had a year of eligibility but woul dhave lost it sitting out had he transferred to DI but not under NAIA so he played his final year at Robert Morris

      Corrected post-
Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and Luuk van Bree are announced as starters tonight, along with Koch Bar, Jayden Hodgson, and Darrell Brown, Jr.
Nate Kennell who started the last exhibition game, will come off the bench. And Jojo McGlaston is back with the team, dressed, and will play.

Donte Thomas and Antoine Pittman not dressed tonight- suspended for violation of team standards.

Home with a cold so listening to it at home. Glad Jo Jo worked out whatever his personnel reasons were and will be playing. Will watch the World Series while listening. Hope we see better inside play on both ends.

The crowd is a little sparse, probably going to be announced in the 4,500 range, but fewer than that here.

Bradley has new uniforms. The design is not much different than last year, except even a bit more plain. I would prefer to see a design with a little newer and slightly more jazzed up look like most college and pro teams have these days.

Bradley is going with a fast offense, and looking for quick shots. RMU lacks height.

Child's and Kennell check in at 16:11.
RMU making all their threes. Score is 11-11 at first timeout at 15:48.

Bradley switches to full court zone pressure, but Kennell fouls, then RMU makes their 4th three. But they now have 8 team fouls, and one of their starters had three fouls.

Btw, the new uniforms do not have names on them. Maybe, they will fix that.

Ryan Stipanovich now in the game, and he has 2 points and a rebound already. His parents are here, sitting to the left of me.

Seems like we're playing at a faster pace. Houston, 2 batters in, lead 1-0

Team has looked a lot better when DLO and N ate are in the game. DLO has 10 points, Nate has 3 pts. Both have 3 rebounds to lead Bradley.
Bradley leads 28-22 with 7:39 left.

Sounds like our defense leaving shooters open, a seemingly year to year problem.

RMU is now 7-17 from three (41.2%). That is what is keeping them in the game. BU is 12-15 from FT line. RMU has not gotten a FT yet. BU outrebounding RMU 15-11.

Score is 38-29 BU leads with 3:56 left in 1st half.

Dodgers had the bases loaded but couldn't score. 2-0 Houston after 1. At this pace the game won't be over until Thursday.

Springer just launched a 2 run homer and they now lead 5-0 in the 2nd. Darvish has been a huge disappointment this post season. I think that could mean Kershaw might be coming in soon.
