Robert Morris is an NAIA school located in the south loop area of Chicago (401 South State St.). This will be their first game of the 2017-18 season. They were 27-7 last year, and 18-2 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. They have been very successful under head coach Al Bruehl, who was there for 20 years and just retired after last season-
This year their new head coach is former assistant Othyus Jeffers, who played for Robert Morris, is a former NAIA Player of the Year, and went on to an NBA career.
They lost their top 4 scorers from last year, and 6 of their top 7 scorers.
Their leading returning scorer and rebounder is Dallis Flowers, a 6'3" sophomore who averaged 6.8 ppg and 3.2 rpg last season.
There are a lot of new names on their roster this year, including a bunch of junior college transfers. Their roster contains a total of 21 players, 11 of them are juco transfers, and a couple more are transfers from other colleges.
