  • Lundy defensively

Early opinion on his defense? I sadly havnt eye tested our guys yet. Makes for a high level of optimism tho.

I thought he looked good defensively - long arms, had a couple deflections and harassed his man a bit..

He looks quick and shifty. He??™s thin and long limbed for a guard. I don??™t recall specific plays in which he made a steal but he might have. ..., but he looked good on D in general.
      Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

Bradley has had nobody who could effectively guard big and athletic guards on other teams, like Milton Doyle, Landry Shamet, and others who often had big games against us.. One reason our coaches went with a juco was to get someone who could better defend and who was ready to step in and play, especially since we lose our 2 most athletic guys after this season (Donte & JoJo). Lundy won't be a big offense producer, but he can defend and score when needed. That's exactly what the coaches were looking for.

I think we have shown signs the last two years of being a really good defensive team. If Luk and Bar improve as defensive rebounders and Lundy gives us another shutdown defender to go with The PITT. DT and DBJ. I feel good saying NK will be at the right spot at the right time. Insert Childs who I think we all can agree on being the best BW sign yet. lets go Bradley. Defense! I predict we lead the MVC in blocked shots this yr.

I wouldn't classify Lundy as skinny. He has really developed an athletic body since he arrived.

VB NK and KB need to become more fluid. Their movements seem stiff. After the game DB said he felt good just wants to feel more comfortable out there. All good signs.

Koch Bar also didn't get the ball slapped out of his hands as much - and got off a couple decent shots. Seems all of our big guys hold onto the ball as if it's just drills and nobody's really trying to slap it away - but they will be so our guys need to grab & hold onto the ball stronger. We're still getting 10-12 turnovers out of our frontcourt - when obviously the backcourt guys handle the ball 70-80% of the time and only give us 3-5 turnovers!

Did I imagine it? I thought Wardle made a comment during the post-game show about Bar's hands feeling or getting better. I wasn't sure just what he said.

He said it look like bars hands were starting to feel better. However I don??™t think he meant that this was the recovery from an injury. I think he just meant that bar was getting his hands to cooperate.
