  • Former MVC Player of the Year Doug McDermott traded again

Doug McDermott was just traded for the 3rd time in his brief NBA career.
The 2-time MVC Player of the Year for Creighton (2012 & 2013), was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the #11 pick in the 2014 NBA draft on June 26, 2014, and traded the same night to the Chicago Bulls. Then after playing slightly more than 2?? seasons with the Bulls, he was traded to the Oklahoma Thunder at the trade deadline on Feb. 23, 2017.
Today, he reportedly going to be traded for the 3rd time going from Oklahoma City to the New York Knicks in a trade that sent Carmelo Anthony from the Knicks to the Thunder.
The Knicks have agreed to a deal that will send Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a 2018 draft pick, sources told ESPN.

The Knicks have been looking for anyone to take Carmelo Anthony and his bloated contract off their hands. The Thunder, who also signed Paul George as a free agent, are hoping to add offense that they have lacked since Kevin Durant left as a free agent in 2016.

That puts three of the NBA's biggest ball hogs on the same team. Somehow, I don't see this working out well.

Russell Westbrook was by far the NBA leader in shot attempts per game with 24.0, over 3 shots/game more than anyone else in the league.
Carmelo Anthony ranked #10 in the NBA with 18.8 shot attempts/game.
Paul George ranked #18 with 18.0.
