He was also a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this year-

He won 816 games as a college head coach (816–462) and won the NCAA National Championship in 1985 at Villanova.

My son played at a tournament at Northwoods years ago. It was fun to see Massimino roam the sideline

he was indeed one of the characters in sports that was fun to watch even tho he didn't play

Rollie's son Tom was an assistant at Bradley for a short time in the mid-1980's and Dick Versace had a close friendship with Rollie.
Even Rollie's eulogies wouldn't be complete without Dick Versace.
